Day 1
Nairobi
day 1Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and be met by one of our Adventure Trails’ driver/guide. You may have a city tour, visit the Uhuru Park, the Jeevanjee Gardens, City Park, Central Park which has Jomo Kenyatta’s memorial, and Nairobi Arboretum. Transfer to Stanley Hotel where you will have your dinner and overnight. The Great Rift Valley Trek
Day 2
Lake Nakuru | Nairobi
day 2After breakfast, depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive down the escarpment to Lake Nakuru National Park on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch In the Afternoon, you will go for game viewing to see warthog, waterbuck and large numbers of impala, hippos, buffalo, Rothschild giraffe, eland, the intermittent leopard and both black and white rhino. Lake Nakuru will offer you the most spectacular wildlife sights: brilliant pink flamingos as far as the eye can see, and then drive back to the Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge Drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Day 3
Masai Mara
day 3Leave Lion Hill lodge in Nakuru after breakfast and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve and experience Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve, where the land pulses with raw energy and a dazzling array of animals. Have Lunch upon your arrival at Sarova Mara Lodge. Enjoy the game drive to view the lions, cheetah, spotted hyena, leopard and wild dog all skulk around the fringes looking for any opportunities. Drive back for dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge or Mara Sarova Camp Transfer to Uganda
Day 4
Nairobi | Queen Elizabeth
day 4After a morning breakfast, embark on a game drive in the Mara. Have lunch in Nairobi city while embarking on your journey to Entebbe International Airport, Uganda. Find our tour representative waiting to transfer you to the hotel for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel, Kampala or Sheraton Hotel or Hotel Africana Enroute to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 5
Queen Elizabeth
day 5After breakfast, drive Queen Elizabeth National Park westwards of Uganda. It is the home of the famous tree climbing lions as well as the Uganda kob, and other antelope’s species, elephants, baboons, hippos, buffaloes and chimps and many more. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded, making the park a magnet for bird watchers. The bird species includes the black bee- eater, 11 types of king fisher, and several species of falcons, eagles and the raptors and many more. After lunch, enjoy the launch cruise on Kazinga Channel for a plethora of bird life and a variety of mammals. Day 6
day 6After breakfast and packed lunch, undertake a morning game drive following Kasenyi track and Queen’s Mile in anticipation of elephants, buffaloes, lions, kobs, waterbuck, and if you are lucky, you may see the elusive leopard and spotted hyena. Proceed to the Ishasha sector in search for the tree climbing lions. From there, pass through the Kigezi Highlands, commonly referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’. Day 7
Virunga
day 7After breakfast, take a 2 hour boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi for amazing birding and panoramic view. Later drive to Virunga Conservation area, at the foothills of Muhavura in Rwanda. You will go across the tea gardens before accessing the Ruhengeri town. Take a short drive to the Headquarters of Parc National des Volcans and meet with the local guides and trackers who will give etiquette talks on gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking through the verdant forested slopes of the Virungas is a thrilling experience. The terrain is rough and at times muddy therefore the hikers have to be physically fit. The attractiveness of the forest and the surrounding scenery make the trekking valuable. If you are lucky you can get to the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and be back at the base in time for a late lunch. Dinner and overnight at the Gorilla nest lodge/ Kinigi guest house Departure
Day 8
day 8Depart from the Park to Kigali Airport to find a departure flight back to Nairobi. End of the Safari
