For the enthusiastic volunteer, this 14 day package is the perfect combination of touring the main attractions in Namibia and volunteering at the N/a’an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary. Overnight in well located lodges in and near Etosha National Park and outside Namib Naukluft National Park and includes 1 night at Swakopmund in between. You will be able to experience the amazing sand dune sea of the Namib and Sossusvlei region as well as Etosha National Park, renowned as one of the best game reserves in Africa.

We're collected from the airport and transferred to a centrally located accommodation in Windhoek. Optional activities available. Dinner at a local restaurant. Early night for tomorrow's adventure.

Halali, Etosha National Park

Etosha

Collected from Windhoek accommodation at 07:15 for a pre-departure meeting. Head north to Etosha, stopping in Otjiwarongo for supplies. Game drive through Etosha, visiting waterholes. Overnight at Halali Camp. Halali has a floodlit waterhole, Moringa, popular with elephants and black rhinos.

Full day of exploration in Etosha, starting at sunrise. Opportunities for game viewing, especially in the morning. Return to Halali for breakfast and continue searching for big game. Explore waterholes for wildlife sightings. Stop to see the vast Etosha Pan. Exit at Anderson gate near sunset and check into comfortable accommodation with en-suite facilities. Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by the guide.

Swakopmund, Hotel A La Mer

After breakfast, we head west through Damaraland, known for its scenic landscapes. We stop for lunch near Brandberg mountain and continue to the Skeleton Coast. After visiting a recent shipwreck, we arrive in Swakopmund, a charming town with German colonial architecture. Enjoy the excellent restaurants recommended by your guide.

Namib-Naukluft

We leave Swakopmund in the late morning, allowing for a relaxed start. Optional activities in Swakopmund include quad biking and sandboarding. Our guide can assist with bookings. We cross the Namib gravel plains and traverse the Kuiseb Pass and Gaub River canyon. We stop at the Tropic of Capricorn for photos and continue to Solitaire. Tonight, we stay at Desert Camp near Sesriem, with twin rooms and dinner prepared by our guide.

We start early for sunrise in the dunes, capturing the magnificent colors and depth of field. We take a 4x4 shuttle to visit Dead Vlei and explore Sossusvlei on foot, climbing the towering dunes. We stop at Dune 45 and Sesriem Canyon before returning to Desert Camp in the afternoon.

Today we visit a local cheetah conservation project in Solitaire, learning about these magnificent creatures and capturing amazing photos. We then drive through scenic mountain landscapes back to Windhoek, arriving in the afternoon at your chosen accommodation within the city limits.

We start early today and are transferred to the N/a'an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary volunteer center. After a briefing and meeting fellow volunteers, we get to interact with the animals and join the N/a'an ku sê team for dinner.
