Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be greeted by a representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Moshi. You'll have a pre-climb briefing with your guide and fellow climbers to go over the details of the climb and ensure that everyone is prepared.

After breakfast, you'll be driven to the Marangu Gate (1,870m/6,135ft) where you'll complete the necessary registration formalities before beginning the climb. The first day's trek takes you through lush rainforest, where you'll see exotic plants and wildlife. You'll reach the Mandara Hut (2,700m/8,860ft) in the late afternoon, where you'll rest and enjoy a hot meal.

Today's trek takes you above the treeline to the barren landscape of the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. You'll reach Kibo Hut (4,703m/15,430ft) in the afternoon and have some time to rest before your summit attempt begins later in the evening. It is recommended to sleep early to prepare for the night hike.

Day 5: Horombo Hut

Your summit attempt begins around midnight, as you make your way up the steep and rocky trail to the Gilman's Point on the crater rim. From there, you'll continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m/19,341ft), the highest point in Africa, where you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the sunrise over the African savannah. After some time to celebrate your achievement and take photos, you'll begin your descent to Kibo Hut, and then further down to Horombo Hut where you'll spend the night.

Day 6: Horombo Hut to Moshi

On the final day of the trek, you'll descend through the heath and forest to the Marangu Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificates and say goodbye to your guides and porters. Your driver will take you back to your hotel in Moshi for a hot shower and celebratory dinner.
