Arrival and transfer to Akagera

Akagera

On your arrival at Kigali airport, you will be welcomed by Alps professional guide who will help you board a helicopter that will transfer you to Akagera national park. This helicopter will land at Akagera game lodge. You will check in for lunch and afternoon relaxation. In the evening, you will be picked to go for a night game drive in the park to see animals such as the buffaloes, elephants, impalas, leopards, lion and others. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer from Akagera to Nyungwe

Nyungwe Forest

After having your morning breakfast, you will be picked to go for yet another game drive for an opportunity to catch on the animals which you could have missed out on during your previous game drive. You will head out of the park and proceed to Kigali town for your lunch and then proceed with your journey to Nyungwe national park. On your arrival at Nyungwe, you will check in at Nyungwe top view for your dinner and overnight stay.

Chimpanzee trekking

Nyungwe Forest

You will have an early breakfast and get ready to be transferred to the park headquarters as early as 5;00am for chimpanzee trekking briefing. You will then head deep into the forest for an opportunity to track the chimpanzees from a closer range. While tracking the chimpanzees, you should look out for other primate such as the colobus monkeys. After this amazing experience, you will return to your lodge for an early lunch and then get ready for your helicopter transfer back to Kigali airport.
