Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you'll be greeted by a Burigi Chato Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. You'll have a chance to rest and prepare for your climb

Day 2:Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, we'll drive to Machame Gate, the starting point for the Machame Route. We'll complete registration formalities and begin our ascent through lush rainforest. The trail is steep and challenging, but the scenery is breathtaking. After 5-6 hours of hiking, we'll reach Machame Camp, our first overnight stop.

Day 3: Shira Camp

Kilimanjaro

We'll continue our ascent through moorland, with stunning views of the Shira Plateau. The trail is less steep today, but the altitude begins to take its toll. After about 6 7 hours of hiking, we'll reach Shira Camp and settle in for the night.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Kilimanjaro

Today, we'll hike through alpine desert and cross the Lava Tower, a striking rock formation at an altitude of 4,630 meters. This is a good opportunity to acclimatize to the altitude before descending to Barranco Camp, our overnight stop. The descent is steep and requires careful footwork, but the views are unforgettable.

Day 5:Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

We'll climb the steep Barranco Wall, which requires some scrambling and careful footing. The views from the top are stunning. After descending from the wall, we'll continue through the Karanga Valley to Karanga Camp, where we'll spend the night.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Kilimanjaro

Today's climb is relatively short but steep as we make our way to Barafu Camp, our final overnight stop before the summit. We'll rest and prepare for the final push to the top.

Day 7: Mweka Camp

Kilimanjaro

We'll wake up early and begin our ascent to the summit, Uhuru Peak. The climb is steep and challenging, but the sense of accomplishment at the top is incredible. We'll spend some time taking in the stunning views before descending to Mweka Camp for the night.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Kilimanjaro

Our final day on the mountain is a descent through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate. We'll say goodbye to our guides and porters before transferring back to Moshi for a celebratory dinner and overnight stay
