Day 1:Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a representative from Burigi Chato Safaris will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi town. After checking in, you will meet with your guide for a briefing on the trek ahead.

Day 2:Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

After breakfast, you will be driven to Marangu Gate for registration before the trek begins. The trek starts through the lush rainforest, with an opportunity to spot some wildlife along the way. After about 3-4 hours, you will reach Mandara Hut, where you will spend the night.

Day 3:Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Day 3 of your 6 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Trekking Tour after thr breakfast, the trek continues through the moorlands and alpine desert, with spectacular views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. You will reach Horombo Hut, your basecamp for the next two nights, in the late afternoon.

Day 4:Acclimatization day

This day is set aside for acclimatization to the high altitude. You will take a short hike to Zebra Rocks or Mawenzi Ridge, where you will have a stunning view of the surroundings, and then return to Horombo Hut for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you can choose to relax or take a short walk in the area.

Day 5:Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

After breakfast, the trek continues through the alpine desert to Kibo Hut, the final basecamp before the summit attempt. You will arrive at Kibo Hut in the late afternoon, have an early dinner, and then rest until midnight for the summit attempt.

Day 6: Moshi

You will start the summit attempt at midnight, with a steady climb to Gilman's Point, where you will have a breathtaking view of the sunrise over Mawenzi. From Gilman's Point, you will continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, before descending to Horombo Hut for a short rest and then continuing to Marangu Gate. At Marangu Gate, you will receive your certificate for conquering Kilimanjaro and then be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi for a hot shower and a celebratory dinner.
