Early breakfast and pick up at 6:00am to transfer to Bwindi by road (9-10 hours’ drive) Lunch stop along the way and visit a cultural museum in Mbarara town.

Gorilla tracking begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Please bring with you a rain jacket, long pants drinking water, snacks, good comfortable hiking shoes/boots, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent etc.The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates in the group you have been booked. The tracking may take between 2 and 8 hours but it’s a well worth the effort.

Depart Bwindi after a relaxed breakfast on an interesting drive to Lake Mburo National Park a great place to relax and unwind after a gorilla safari, surrounded by beautiful scenery views into the horizon. This park is host to the giant eland and many beautiful birds.

After breakfast head out a safari on foot as it’s commonly referred to accompanied by an armed park ranger. This nature walk takes you to enjoy the morning freshness in the wild via the salt lick. This walk lasts 2-3 hours. Return to refresh and relax or go swimming if you opt to stay at an upmarket accommodation facility. Unwind at the lodge waiting for lunch and in the afternoon go for – a boat cruise on Lake Mburo a great opportunity to see hippopotamus and several bird species.
