Day 1: Londorossi gate -Forest camp

Rising (ft.): 7,800 to 9,500ft Stretch: 6 km Hiking time: 4 hrs. Climatic habitat: Rain Forest Hikers depart Arusha or Moshi for Londorossi Gate, which takes 4 hours, where you will complete entry registration and formalities. Then, drive to the Lemosho Park entrance. Upon arrival at the park entrance, hikers eat lunch and then proceed through undisturbed forest, which winds to the first campsite.

Day 2: Forest camp to Shira camp

Next, we carry on to Moir Camp, a remote location at the foot of the Lent Hills. There are a multitude of walks accessible on the adjacent hills, making this a fantastic opportunity to acclimatize.

Day 4: Lava Tower to Barranco camp

Rising (ft.): 13, 800 ft. to 13, 000ft Stretch:7 km Hiking time: 5 hrs. Climatic habitat The crew and hikers will continue eastward from the Shira plateau along a ridge, crossing the junction, and on to the summit of Kibo. As we proceed, our course shifts to the south-east, in the direction of the "Shark's Tooth" lava tower. We reach the second junction, which leads us to the Arrow glacier at a height of 16,000 ft. shortly after passing the tower. Today we descend to the Barranco camp.

After leaving Karanga, we arrive at Junction, where the Mweka route meets it, and from there we hike up to the Barafu camp. You have now finished the South Circuit, which offers numerous summit views from various angles.

The journey to Mweka village takes hikers another hour from the gate. Hikers will be met by a car in Mweka village.
