Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi/Arusha
Kilimanjaro
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your trekking company representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Moshi town. You'll have a pre-trek briefing and gear check with your guide. Overnight in Moshi.
Day 2: Moshi/Arusha - Machame Camp
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, drive to the Machame Gate (1,800 meters) and register with the Kilimanjaro National Park. Begin your trek through the rainforest, which can be muddy and slippery, until you reach the Machame Camp (2,980 meters) in the late afternoon. Overnight at Machame Camp.
Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

After breakfast, continue ascending through the forest and onto the moorlands. You'll pass through the giant heather zone before reaching Shira Camp (3,840 meters) where you'll have dinner and spend the night.
Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
Kilimanjaro
Today you'll climb to Lava Tower (4,630 meters), where you'll stop for lunch and acclimatize to the altitude. After lunch, descend to the Barranco Camp (3,950 meters), passing through the scenic Barranco Valley. Overnight at Barranco Camp.
Barranco Camp - Karanga Camp

After breakfast, you'll climb the steep Barranco Wall, which is a highlight of the trek. After reaching the top of the wall, you'll trek through alpine desert terrain and reach Karanga Camp (3,995 meters) in the afternoon. Overnight at Karanga Camp.
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Today you'll trek to Barafu Camp (4,673 meters), which is the base camp for the summit attempt. The terrain is rocky and steep, and you'll need to be careful with your footing. You'll arrive at Barafu Camp in the early afternoon and have dinner before getting some rest.
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka
Today you'll begin your summit attempt around midnight, with a steep climb up the scree slope to Stella Point (5,756 meters). From there, it's a relatively easy walk to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa. After taking photos and enjoying the view, you'll begin your descent to Barafu Camp for a short rest and lunch, then continue to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters) for dinner and overnight.
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Hotel
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, you'll descend through the forest to the Mweka Gate (1,650 meters), where you'll receive your summit certificates and say goodbye to your trekking team. Your driver will meet you and take you back to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha for a celebratory dinner and a well-deserved rest.
