Tarangire or Kikuletwa Hot Spring

Depending on your wishes, we start today with a relaxing visit to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, the Materuni Waterfalls or a coffee tour. In the afternoon we will drive towards Manyara Lake National Park. Alternatively you can choose to visit Arusha or Tarangire National Park

Today you will embark to a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, which is known for its tree-climbing lions and also has an enormous variety of birds.
Hiking to Empakai Crater
Ngorongoro Crater
Today we head into the Ngorongoro highlands, from where you can reache the Olmoti crater rim on a short hike & enjoy the magnificent view & the waterfall. After lunch you can decide whether you want to hike from there to the Empakai Crater (~5h) or continue by car & catch a early glimpse of the impressive Empakai Crater. You will camp on its majestic rim this night, with a wonderfull view on the crater lake. Depending on the time, you can descend into the crater today or tomorrow morning.
Trekking & Maasai Village
Today you will start your 1.5 day trek through the Ngorongoro Highlands. You will be accompanied by 2 local Maasai guides & their donkeys. Today's hike is 15 km long & takes you through the Maasai village Naiyobi, where you take a short break. Then the way leads, with a constant view of the Oldoinyo Lengai , down to Acacia Camp. Next to the camp you will find a viewpoint with breathtaking views of the volcano, Lake Natron & the Rift Valley, which continues further to Kenya.
Trekking down to Lake Natron
Now it's only a short 6km hike down into the dry Rift Valley where you will be picked up by your driver and continue to the camp near Lake Natron. In the afternoon you can choose from a wide range of activities & tours: Visit Waterfalls or Hotsprings, go on a Village, Maasai Culture or Herd Tour, take the Bike to the Orpul Caves or go on a footprint hunt.

Now your journey into the Serengeti begins, which in Maasai means "the infinite plains". It is home to the great animal migration & one of the last true wonders of our planet. Today you will stay in the middle of this magical plains.

Today is your last day in the Serengeti & in the late afternoon we depart towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will camp on the crater rim tonight.
