Moshi – Machame Hut Camp
Kilimanjaro
The trek begins at the Machame Gate, where you will register and meet your guide and porters. From there, you will begin the hike through the rainforest to Machame Camp. The first day is relatively easy, with a gentle ascent through lush vegetation and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Machame Hut – Shira Camp
Kilimanjaro
The second day begins with a steep ascent through the rainforest, followed by a more gradual hike through moorland and grassland. You will pass through the beautiful Shira Plateau and eventually arrive at the Shira Camp, where you will spend the night.
Shira Camp–Barranco Camp

On the third day, you will continue your ascent through the moorland and grassland, eventually reaching the Lava Tower, a rocky outcropping that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After a short stop at the Lava Tower, you will continue on to the Barranco Camp, where you will spend the night.
Barranco Camp– Barafu Camp

After breakfast, we leave Barranco and continue on a steep ridge up the Barranco Wall (4250m/13,900ft), through the Karanga Valley (4050m/13,250ft) to the junction which connects with the Mweka Trail. We continue up to the Barafu Camp. Here we make camp with views of the summit in the distance.
Barafu Camp - Summit - Mweka Camp
Kilimanjaro
Very early in the morning (midnight to 2 am), we continue hiking to the summit. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek, you may encounter snow all the way on your 6 hour ascent to the summit. Once at Uhuru Peak you have reached the highest point on Mt. Kilimanjaro and of Africa! From the summit we begin our descent by continuing straight down to the Mweka Camp, stopping at Barafu for lunch. We arrive at Mweka Camp and enjoy our last evening on the mountain.
Mweka Camp - Mweka Gate - Hotel
After breakfast we continue the descent down to the Mweka Park Gate to receive your summit certificates. Our vehicle will be waiting for you at Mweka gate to drive you back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha (around 60 minutes).
