Lake Mburo national park is the smallest savannah national park in Uganda located in the western part of Uganda. It is 370square km, it’s a home to 350 bird species as well as 68 mammal species including zebras, buffaloes, impala oribi ,leopard ,hippo, hyena among others.
Lake Mburo forms part of a 50km long wetland system linked by a swamp together with 13 other lakes in the area, 5 of these lakes lie within the parks boarders. The park is also blessed with over 315 bird species and probably the best place to see acacia associated birds like black billed bustard, bare faced-go away bird, mosques wallow and Ruppell’s starling.

Pickup and transfer to Lake Mburo

You will be picked up by your guide from your residents, he will then brief you about the tour, will set of & make a stop-over at mpambire in mpigi to meet the Baganda royal drum makers.Then continue the journey and make another stop-over at the equator for photos and the water experiment.Then continue to the park & on arrival, you will check-in to your hotels and have lunch, rest then get ready for the nature walk. After the nature walk you will return to the hotel for dinner & overnight.

After breakfast with the hissing calls from different bird species, you will prepare for the morning game drive where you will be able to take photos and videos, expect to see many animals &birds You will then come back for lunch and take a rest where you will be preparing for the afternoon boat cruise. Expect to see more aquatic animals like crocodiles, Zebras and birds like king fisher,You will then return for dinner at your hotel and then enjoy the rest of the night

Cycling & transfer back to Kampala

Start the day with an early morning breakfast and embark on a short cycling safari around the park giving you a chance to ride among the zebras in the open savannah, enjoy the slender mongoose on the avid mountain cycling for the most adventurous and energetic cyclists. Retreat from the activity relax, check-out and embark on your journey back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for a delicious lunch then proceed with your journey to Kampala
