Kidepo valley national park, Uganda’s most isolated and a true African wilderness tucked in Uganda’s remote north eastern corner bordering south Sudan and Kenya. Kidepo boasts sighting of abundant wildlife in Narus and Kidepo valley with over 80 species of mammals out of which many can’t be found anywhere else in Uganda like cheetah ,caracal, bat eared fox, aard wolf, side striped hyena, side striped jackal, African painted dogs, Beisa Oryx, lesser and greater kudu among others. Big mammals like buffaloes and elephants frequently visit Narus valley swamps in huge congregations with zebras, eland, Jackson hartebeest,and Roth child giraffe all present together attracting predators like lions, leopard, and hyenas among others.
Kidepo boasts over 475 bird species, a number second in Uganda only to Queen Elizabeth National Park’s 604 species. The distinctive bird list includes over 100 ‘dry country’ residents of northern Uganda and Kenya including a number that are endemic to Kidepo region e.g. rose ringed parakeets,Clapperton’s francolin and Karamoja apalis. Other highlights include the ostrich, secretary bird, kori bustard,red -throated bee-eaters, the Abyssinian roller and the Abyssininan ground horn bille. Kidepo is also notable for 56 raptor species including the rare lappet-faced vulture, lesser kestrel and Denham’s bustard.

Pick up and transfer to hotel
Arrive in Entebbe International airport following the flight from your country of origin. Land at Entebbe International airport the main gate way to the pearl of Africa where you will find a company representative of Avelisa tours and travel dedicated to offer you a courteous welcome to the pearl of Africa. After a short briefing about the safari, you will connect to the hotel in Entebbe for relaxation ,dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, link up with driver for long scenic journey drive to kidepo valley national park, true Africa’s greatest wilderness located in Uganda’s most remote north eastern in the furthest extremity of the sparsely populated Karamojong region. settle for lunch in Gulu town at after which we proceed and arrive in the park in the evening for lodge check in dinner and overnight. Highlight for the day:-scenic drive along the Gulu road with sighting of northern Uganda beautiful landscape.

After breakfast,link up with the driver/guide for a 3-4 hours game drive in Narus valley, a thrilling savannah grass land rolling plains rewarded with scenic views of mountain,hills and constant water pasture supply throughout the year boosting sighting of abundant wildlife like elephants,buffaloes ,zebras,giraffes, antelope etc many cat species like lions,leopards, side stripped and backed jackal, spotted hyenas . Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.Have dinner and overnight.

After breakfast,link up with guide and embark on a game drive to the semi-arid northern section of the park kidepo valley to explore and sight wildlife like ostriches,lesser ,kidepo sand river,and kanangorok hot springs Return to the lodge on reverse journey for lunch. Later on transfer to lorukul cultural village which is strategically located just outside lokomoit park gate, while at the Karamojong village we shall learn about their traditions.Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After an early morning breakfast, link up with the driver and transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola on a reverse journey via Gulu town for lunch at Bomah Hotel through karuma bridge boosting baboon sighting Arrive at the sanctuary late in the evening for lodge check in, relaxation, and overnight.

Start your day with a cup of tea and transfer to the headquarters for a briefing from the guide, then embark on a Rhino tracking encounter where you get closer to the Rhinos in the wild.
