Itinerary
Tarangire
Tarangire
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up at the hotel and you will make your way to Tarangire National Park. The drive will be approximately 2 hours. Tarangire National Park is considered one of the best parks to view elephants up close. The Park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests and is closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards, but cheetahs are rarely spotted in this area.

Serengeti National Park
Serengeti
After early morning breakfast, you will travel through the cooler highlands towards southern Serengeti. You will reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park at midday. The Park is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes – short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen.

Full day game drive
Serengeti
This entire day will be spent on game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. Predators usually follow behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees), and cheetahs. During the short rainy season in November and December, they move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. However, your guide will know where the animals will be located so that you can fully experience what Serengeti has to offer.

Drive to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, you will continue on with a game drive until lunchtime. After lunch, you will head to Ngorongoro for the night. On the way, you will visit the Maasai people who live in the Ngorongoro conservation area and you will be able to learn about their culture and traditional practices.
Rhino Lodge
Crater visit
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast at the lodge, you will descend the crater for a game drive. The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals including the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – as well as spotted hyenas, rare warthogs, and over 500 bird species. After an extensive game drive and a picnic for lunch at the hippo pool, you will leave the crater in the late afternoon and head to Arusha town.
