Day 1

Day 1: Arrival Arrival at Entebbe International Airport Meet your hotel Driver who will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.  *Accommodations: - Midrange Boma guesthouse *Meal Plan: Breakfast only *Travel Time: 15 mins from Airport

Day 2

Murchison Falls

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park You will be picked from your hotel in Kampala by your safari guide, who will brief you about your safari. Then, drive via Bombo and Masindi town to Murchison falls National Park. Visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking. Have lunch proceeding to Murchison falls National Park through Kichumbanyobo gates.You will take a drive to the “Top of the falls” for a breathtaking sight of the raging Nile as it forces its way through a rocky gap barely six meters wide. This is the point where the Nile River detonates through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a placid river. Return to the lodge *Accommodations: - Midrange Pakuba safari lodge *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner) *Travel Time: 7 hrs

Day 3

Murchison Falls

Day 3: Game Drive/ Launch Cruise Go for an early morning game drive on the Northern Bank of the Murchison Falls National Park. You may be able to view animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffe, elephant, antelope, lion, and the Uganda Kob. Return to the lodge for mid morning breakfast, as you relax to wait for Lunch. After lunch, you will go for a launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes you to the Bottom of the roaring falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, ducks, cormorants, bee-eaters, skimmers, kingfishers, fish eagle and the rare shoebill. *Accommodations: - Midrange Pakuba safari lodge *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)  

Day 4

Kibale

Day 4: Murchison falls NP – Kibale NP          After an early breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park. You will drive via the Albertine Escarpment of the western Rift valley on the Masindi-Hoima-Fort portal road. This will be a long drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal, passing though verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon,”  *Accommodations: - Midrange Primates Lodge Kibale (Cottage) *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner) *Travel Time: 9 hrs

Day 5

Kibale

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking / Bigodi walk A relatively early morning start, to report to the ranger station in Kibale National Park at 08.00am to track habituated chimps – these delightful apes, more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are tremendous fun to watch as they squabble and play in fruiting trees. The incredibly diverse forest is home to over 13 species of primates including red Colobus monkey, the rare L’Hoest, blue monkey, grey mangabey, pottos, black faced vervet monkeys, baboons and also bush babies. A network of shady forest trails provides much to delight botanists and butterfly lovers, while birders are in for a treat with 335 species recorded including the endemic Prirogrine’s ground thrush. The elusive forest elephant, smaller and hairier that its savannah counterpart, moves seasonally into the developed part of the park, while other terrestrial mammals include buffalo, giant forest hog and a half dozen antelope species. After lunch, you will go for a guided walk in Bigodi Swamp to look for different bird species like the Shining Blue Kingfisher, Blue Throated Roller and other rare species and also find the fruiting trees, which attract Narina Trogon, Pied Hornbill, Yellow Spotted, Hairy Breasted and Yellow-Billed Barbets.  *Accommodations: - Midrange Primates Lodge Kibale (Cottage) *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

Day 6

Queen Elizabeth

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park / Katwe salt Lake Tour After Breakfast, we will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will enter the park via the Northern crater Area. With beautiful lakes and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley, this is truly the most breathtaking scenery in the park.  Queen Elizabeth is host to a large variety and volume of wildlife. This tour gives visitors a unique insight into the fascinating yet tough process of salt mining, as well as providing an alternative income for Katwe. During the tour of the lake you will see community members at work, cross the mud walkways and enter one of the traditional grass huts, used to shelter and store tools. You will also pass the nearby bird sanctuary lake, home to thousands of birds, including flamingos from October to May. *Accommodations: - Midrange Kyambura Game lodge *Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner *Travel Time: 4 hrs

Day 7

Day 7: Game drive & Launch cruise Early morning wake up for the morning game drive to catch up with early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. During the game drive, you will be likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, water bucks, stripped jackal, leopard and of course the several warthogs. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax by the side of the swimming pool After lunch, take an afternoon boat trip along on Kazinga channel. This will give you the opportunity to view wildlife up close: hippo’s huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are also home to an array of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others. After this wonderful afternoon, a slow drive back to the lodge. *Accommodations: - Midrange Kyambura Game lodge *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

Day 8

Bwindi Impenetrable | Virunga | Volcanoes

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi NP we will then leave for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to the few remaining mountain gorillas. Bird life and primate life in Bwindi is quite superb, and there is an incredible variety of flora. Bwindi is the Bird watchers haven! It holds 348 species of birds and supports 24 of 26 Albertine Rift Endemics that occur in Uganda; and seven red data book species. Once continuous with the forests of the Virunga Volcanoes (Dian Fossey’s stomping ground), Bwindi is now an ecological island, surrounded by cultivation on the rich volcanic soils. *Accommodations: - Chameleon Hill Lodge OR Silverback Lodge *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner) *Travel Time: 6-8 hrs  

Day 9

Day 9: Gorilla trekking After an early breakfast and briefing from the guides, set off for the mountains gorilla tracking inside the Bwindi forest. You need to carry drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is one of the unique activities you will enjoy while photographing and observing the gorillas. After tracking, come back to the lodge and relax. OR: Should you have the energy this afternoon, you will go for a village walk and see how Ugandans live! *Accommodations: - Chameleon Hill Lodge OR Silverback Lodge *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner) *Trekking Time: Unpredictable

Day 10

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi After, we will depart to Lake Bunyonyi. This large and erratically shaped lake lies at an altitude of approximately 2000m, where it follows the contours of the hilly terrain that separates the towns of Kabale and Kisoro. It is a very scenic spot, dotted with small islands and ringed by steeped terraced hills. Bunyonyi means “place of little birds” and it is particularly good for water birds. Visit the bright and colorful local market at Kabale or take a canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi itself.   *Accommodations: - Midrange Arcadia cottages *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner) * Travel time: PNV – Bunyonyi *Travel Time: 3 hrs

Day 11

Lake Mburo

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo After Breakfast, drive to L. Mburo NP via Mbarara where you will have your lunch break. The Park contains a variety of attractions; it is dominated by extensive wetlands, rolling grassy hills, seasonal and permanent swamps, wooden savannah, and forests, which harbors a variety of plants and animal species. It is because of these diverse ecosystems that render the park to be one of the richest in bio diversity like Zebras, Elands, and Buffaloes, Impalas, Roam Antelopes, Leopards, Hyenas, Hippos, Bush bucks, and Klipspringer. The presence of the Lake within the park enables visitors to take a boat ride do sport fishing and see the Crocodiles, Pelicans, Shoebill stork, Hippos, Cormorants, Fish eagles, and a lot more. Evening boat trip inside Lake Mburo and see for yourself the Crocodile, Pelican, Hippo, Heron and the rare Shoebill stork. *Accommodations: - Midrange Rwakobo Rocks *Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch & dinner) *Travel Time: 3 hrs

Day 12

DAY 12: Transfer to Kampala - Entebbe After, depart to Kampala stopping at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers. Here you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations.  Enjoy a short city tour to visit the Museum, Bahai Temple & the craft market. You will be transferred to your Hotel *Accommodations: - Midrange Cassia Lodge *Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast *Travel Time: 4 hrs (Mburo – Kampala)

Day 13

Day 13: Half day Ngamba Island Visit After Breakfast, transfer to Entebbe for your 12:40 launch to Ngamba Island, home to 39 chimpanzees. Have an introduction and watch the chimps interact with each other and with their keepers.  You are there you will be able to see such different personalities amongst the group, with some whistling for food and others clapping.  Return to the mainland at 5:00pm and visit Entebbe Wildlife Education Centre (zoo).  If you have not managed to see the shoebill in the wild you are certain a sighting here, as well as rhino. You will return to the hotel. *Accommodations: - Midrange Boma guesthouse *Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast *Travel Time: 1 hr (Kampala - Entebbe)

Day 14
