Itinerary
Day 1: Moshi to Machame Gate
Kilimanjaro
You will be transferred to Machame Village and continue from the village to the Machame gate. On the first day you will start a hike and enter the vegetation zone where our mountain guide will be with you to explain everything about the said forest. You will have a welcome lunch at stop about halfway up and arrive at Machame campsite in the late afternoon.

Day 2: Machame camp to Shira camp
Kilimanjaro
Early morning at Machame Camp and after breakfast you will hike for about an hour to the top of the forest and then for 2 hours on a gentler slope through the moorland. We continue up a rocky ridge to the Shira Plateau, where our terminus is located. The porters boil drinking and washing water before serving dinner. The night at this exposed campground will be even cooler than the night before, with temperatures well below freezing.

Day 3: Shira to Machame Gate
Kilimanjaro
Hiking time: 7hours, Distance: Approximately 27 km The descent to the Machame Gate begins immediately after breakfast. It will be a long trek as we will have to cover approximately 27 km and skip Machame camp, so it is recommended to prepare beforehand with the necessary equipment. The vehicle will be waiting for you at Machame Gate and take you to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha.
