A 1 day’s Excursion to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
based on 7 travelers.

Day 1: Today early morning at 7:30am your
guide/driver from Jamie Jungle safaris will pick
you up from you hotel/residence in Kampala
and transfer you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
located on 176 km on Kampala – Gulu Highway
in Nakasongola a drive that will take about 3-
3hours and a half depending on the traffic as
we leave the city and plan to reach by 11am,
Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you will be
briefed by your ranger guide about the history
of Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and all you need to
know about the tracking. You will then drive to
your trekking area point for rhino trekking
activity where you will have a chance to view

rhinos at a close but safe distance. Look out for
other wildlife like the oribis, reed backs, gray
duikers, bush backs, hartebeests, monkeys and
bird life like the blue spotted dove, the shoebill
stork, abdims stork, and African black crake to
mention but a few. Please note That the
trekking time depends on where the rhinos
are.
After the rhino trek, you will return to the
canteen at 12:30pm have your warm lunch and
drinks, relax a bit and after, you will be
transferred back to Kampala at 1:45am
reaching in the evening before 5pm depending
on the traffic as we get into the city center.
Key Points to remember:Please note that we
shall take our lunch orders before trekking the
rhinos and also remember to use the
washrooms before heading for rhino trekking
since you can’t go in the bush for a short or
long calls.

Price per traveler: $161 per person

NB: Please note that’s to confirm trip you
need to make 30% deposit and 70% payment
to complete payment for safari or make 100%
full payment to fully confirm safari.
