The 7 days and six nights Safari is through the Mid-west to the south western part of the Western Safari Circuit of Uganda. It includes an extended encounter with chimpanzees (Chimpanzee habituation) at Kibale Forest National park, 2 days at Queen Elizabeth National park before continuing further south to the Mountain Gorilla sanctuary- Bwindi Impenetrable national park. It ends with a tour at Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to the airport for your departure.

Arrival and transfer to kibale NP

Kibale

On this day you arrive, and our representatives and the guide will meet you at the airport for a transfer to Kibale Forest. It is an amazing journey with different landscapes, economics, activities and settlement patterns. You will enjoy the drive on a smooth road and arrive early afternoon. You will relax at the lodge, where you will be joined by your friends.

Primate lovers would want to spend more time with primates. The premier chimpanzee destination of Kibale offers a daily activity to spend more than just an hour in the presence of chimpanzees. Join other groups at the Kanyanchu Visitors centre for a briefing before you embark on the activity- Chimpanzee habituation. You will enjoy the involvement and not just be observers. After, you will drive for about an hour and a half to Queen Elizabeth National park for an overnight.

We shall have an early breakfast and drive to the Kasenyi plains for a morning game drive. The area is crisscrossed by a labyrinthine network of game viewing roads in the short-grass savanna and we shall drive through in search of wild animals. An afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel. The wildlife viewing here is excellent with animals that come to the banks to drink and also water birds. You have to keep your eyes open for the monitor lizards and the Nile crocodiles.

Game Drive in QENP (South)

Travel through the Ishasha sector. It runs south from Lake Edward and on the flanks of Ishasha river and the Congolese border. It is one of the alluring game viewing areas and is best known for its population of tree-climbing lions. It retains an untrammelled wilderness character and also supports herds of Kobs, buffaloes, warthogs, topi, waterbucks, elephants, baboons, and Patas monkeys, among others. We shall have a game drive here before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

Bwindi forest covers a rugged landscape of steep hills and valleys abutting the Congolese border south of the Ishasha sector. The forest provides shelter to some of Africa’s diverse mammalian fauna including half population of mountain gorillas and the main activity here is gorilla tracking. drive to the offices of Bwindi for orientation and briefing before we hit the trails for an amazing encounter with the mountain gorillas. The activity lasts 3-8 hours

Have a motorized canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi as we tour the islands. The flooded valley has a total of 29 islands, and we shall visit the most historical and iconic ones.
