Fly to western Uganda

Fly from Entebbe International Airport to Kasese airstrip and then drive to the Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes. With a local guide discover the rural idyll of the Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes on a scenic drive through rollings hills & crater lake pools. Then stroll along boardwalks through Magombe Swamp's swaying papyrus. A true primate & bird watchers paradise, with 138 recorded bird species & seven species of monkey to spot.

This morning meet with a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger & trek deep into the rainforest of Kibale NP to meet a family of chimpanzees. A truly memorable & authentic wildlife experience, as you observe these wild chimps in their natural habitat. Spend your afternoon relaxing at your upmarket safari lodge perched on the rim of a crater lake. Take a dip in the pool, unwind with a massage or play a game of tennis of the lodge's private grass court.

Drive from your lodge to the savannah of Queen Elizabeth NP. This afternoon embark on a water safari to explore the Kazinga Channel. Then explore the Kazinga Tracks on a wildlife drive, an area is known as the spot for up close sightings of elephant herds. You’ll also have the chance to spy Uganda kob, buffalo and if you’re lucky the elusive leopard!

After breakfast drive through a landscape of rollings hills to reach the rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable NP. This afternoon imbibe yourself into the daily life of Buhoma with a guided walk to meet & spend time with the locals.

Trek through Bwindi Impenetrable NP's pristine rainforest, a UNESCO heritage site, to observe mountains gorillas forage, feed, play & socialise in their close knit family group, surrounded by their natural habitat. A truly magical experience. On completing the trek out of the rainforest, unwind in peace to the sounds of the rainforest at your lodge.

Drive from Bwindi Impenetrable NP to Kihihi airstrip and catch a domestic flight to Mbarara airstrip, it's then a short drive onto Lake Mburo NP. During the cooler hours of the day, explore the savannah of Lake Mburo NP on a walking safari. Walking safaris are an excellent way to view the park and get up-close-and-personal with the wildlife including warthogs, zebras and impala. If you’re lucky you will also be able to find the small group of giraffes which were reintroduced to the park in 2015.

Experience the tranquillity of the park on a horseback safari & ride alongside, elands, zebras & buffalos. In the mid morning you'll arrive at a scenic spot, where you'll find a bush breakfast set under a shaded table has been prepared for you. Then spend the afternoon relaxing at your upmarket safari lodge. As darkness falls set out on a nocturnal wildlife drive provides an excellent opportunity to seek out some of the park's top predators including spotted hyena & leopards.

Drive from Lake Mburo NP to Mbarara airstrip & catch a domestic flight to Jinja airstrip, before making your way to your exclusive lodge nestled amongst tropical rainforest on a private island, mid-stream in the mighty river Nile. Enjoy lunch from under the thatched terrace with stunning views over the water & unwind with a massage at the lodge’s private spa. Escape the heat of the day by taking a dip & plunge into the swimming pool with the white waters of the river Nile surging past you.

Take a slow start to the day with breakfast on the banks of the river Nile before driving upstream to Jinja Sailing Club. Embark on a boat trip to explore the lagoons of Lake Victoria and visit the source of the Nile. As you cruise along the shores of Lake Victoria spot a plethora of birdlife & pass many small fishing communities, who live off the lake. You will then navigate to the source of the Nile, before returning to shore & driving back to your lodge.

Fly from Jinja airstrip to Kajjansi airfield, then make the short drive onto Entebbe. Relax at your hotel in the leafy suburbs of Entebbe. When it's time to catch your onwards flight you'll be driven the short distance across town to Entebbe International Airport.
