Tarangire

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha and afterwards, proceed to Tarangire National Park. This is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania located in the Manyara region. This place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees, also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for the Tarangire River which flows all year round.

After breakfast, we will drive to Manyara via a Maasai village. The park derives its name from the Maasai word Manyara, which is the name for the plant Euphorbia tirucalli, Manyara produces a stock proof hedge, which is very durable among other similar kinds. A specimen of Euphorbia tirucalli can be found at the entrance of the gate of the Great Rift Valley belonging to the faultline in the earth’s crust which stretches In the afternoon, you will be taken to the airport.
