We shall have an overnight at Lake Bunyonyi on one of the islands here we shall do an island tour of some of the 29 Islands on this river valley before returning to Kampala.

Itinerary

Transfer to Bwindi

We shall set out for the long drive to Bwindi Forest. It is about a 9-hour drive. Make a stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for amazing photoshoots and an experience at the Latitude 0 where nature beats all odds then have lunch at Igongo cultural center. We shall arrive in the evening and check in for an overnight. Lunch will be had along the way.

Gorilla Mist Camp

Gorilla trekking

Gather at the respective park headquarters for briefing in the morning at 8am where you are also allocated the respective gorilla families to track. From here, you head to the forest in the company of the armed ranger guides that will lead you up the gorillas. The walk is beyond the ordinary as it involves traversing the dense jungle ,hiking the challenging landscapes some of which are steep and slippery at times under the canopy of the mature forest which forms darkness even during the day.

Lake Bunyonyi Island tour

Wake up in the morning have breakfast, and set out for an island tour on Lake Bunyonyi. Visit the famous punishment island, Leprosy Island, and others on a motorized canoe. Later after we return to Kampala/Entebbe arriving late in the evening. End of Safari.
