Itinerary

Day 1. Kampala to Bwindi

Bwindi Impenetrable

After your Breakfast at 7.00Am, Transfer to Bwindi where you will track Gorillas. You will drive through savanna grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle, famous for their incredibly long horns. You then ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery and continue your drive on to Bwindi. Arrive late in the afternoon, check in at the your lodge for a well-earned evening meal & a good night’s rest.

Take your Breakfast and depart with a picnic lunch to track the rare Mountain Gorillas . The tracking may take between 3 and 6 hours in and out of the forest. Tracking through dense forest with steep slopes means that participants do need to be physically fit to enjoy the track. The Park Guides with you interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. At the end of your time with the gorillas you will return at your accommodation for some refreshments and Driver to Rwanda

Drive at 6.30 AM to the Park Station for registration before you start your trekking. The Trekking may take between 2 and 4 hours. An experienced ranger will guide you and participants of this tour. you will spend an hour with the Monkey before you go back to your lodge, eat your lunch, After Luch visit Iby’iwacu cultural centre (Now called Gorilla guardians village-1.5 hours). Thereafter, Drive back to Kigali, where we will arrive late around 18h00. End of tour, debriefing and drop-off.
