Arusha to Tarangire national park

Tarangire

In the morning after breakfast at the lodge in Arusha, our driver guide will pick you up and drive you to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Elephants are the main attraction, with up to 3,000 in the park, you can also see the Tarangire River along which the park is situated and the Great Rift Valley among the hills. Home to giant Baobab trees as well as Acacia woodlands, this park also has enormous swamps. Wild animals are pulled to these cooler swamps during the dry season.

After breakfast you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a once in a lifetime safari tour. The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown, this thick volcanic crater is the most significant unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. Upon descending to the crater floor, you will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, which is one of the crater’s leading features. A large number of flamingo, hippo and other water birds can be seen here.

After Breakfast we head into the Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Lake Manyara is unique for a Tree-climbing Lions, as well as large flocks of Flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Then, in the afternoon drive to Mto wa Mbu At Mto wa Mbu town you will visit the local Market and villages around, experience the life at the local village setting, meeting local people, learning about their culture, visit the rice and banana plantations and history of the area.
