This Big Five Tanzania Safari 5 days Budget Camping Safari leads to Tarangire/Manyara, Ngorongoro & Serengeti. Allows us to explore three of the premier parks on The Northern Safari Circuit. We start our adventure at The Tarangire National Park or Manyara, so named for the life-giving river that wends its way through the parks environs attracting a multitude of wildlife to drink of its sating waters. Roving on from Tarangire we take the opportunity to spend two nights on the Serengeti Plains, home to Planet Earths’ last great terrestrial migration, that of the wildebeest, zebra, and antelope. From here we make for the Ngorongoro Highlands, one of the seven wonders of Africa and a UNESCO world heritage site, the crater offers the premier game viewing experience in Tanzania if not the continent entire.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire
After breakfast, you will meet an office representative for a briefing about your safari then take 2 hours’ drive to Tarangire National Park. You will endorse all that Tarangire National Park is known for – the famous ancient baobab trees, tree climbing pythons, and the largest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, cheetah. After a picnic lunch in midday, you will resume your afternoon game drive till later evening.

After a healthy breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti. This drive will take you through the Ngorongoro so you will be able to view the Ngorongoro crater on the way. This drive will take around six hours depending on the game on the way because sometimes there is a high concentration of game on the southern plains. You may have a chance to stop at the Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai village. You will stop for a lunch on the way then proceeds to your camp with a game drive en-route.

You will have a full day excursions in the Serengeti on this day, enjoying the Serengeti Sunrise, morning and afternoon game drives, and the famous Serengeti Sunset from the camp. The center of the Serengeti, Seronera, is a network of rivers that ensure dependable water supplies attracting wildlife throughout the year. It is here that you’ll have your best opportunity to spot the “Big Five”. There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attract.

After an early breakfast will go on an early game drive seeing a lot of animals till afternoon where will head to camp for lunch and packing doing a game drive while we exit the Serengeti heading to Simba campsite (2hrs drive) near the rim of Ngorongoro crater note; animals can be spotted on campsites.

Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region After an early breakfast will descend the crater (6:15 am) on a journey to find the black rhino, rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a floor crater. After lunch will do a game drive and ascend the crater to camp and pack for the trip back to Arusha
