Lake Manyara

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the escarpment. The park is wedged between the steep Gregory Rift wall and the soda lake, providing amazing landscapes with ample opportunity to see a variety of wildlife. The Alkaline waters of the lake attract large flocks of flamingo and pelican along with great sighting of big game like elephants, buffaloes, giraffe, zebra, baboons and the famous tree climbing lions.

We will have our morning game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for lion, hippos and giraffe sighting, In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which usually attract most of the big cats. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains.

After a very early breakfast leave the Lodge and descend down to the eighth wonder with possibly the largest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa, with an estimate average of 30,000 large mammals. In addition, this is one of the best reserves in Africa to see Black Rhino. Other sightings include Lions, Hyenas, Jackals, Hippos, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest. After lunch drive back to Arusha. Once you arrive Arusha we will drop you at the airport.
