Itinerary
Day1- Drive to Lemosho gate
Kilimanjaro
In the morning, after breakfast with a packed picnic lunch and drinking water, we will drive from Arusha to Lemosho Gate, which takes about 2-3 hours. After completing registration and obtaining the necessary permits, we will begin our hike through the dense rainforest to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Campsite. The trek to Mti Mkubwa will take approximately 3-4 hours. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Mti Mkubwa Campsite, located at an altitude of 2,650 meters, on a full board basis.

Day2-Walk to Shira 1 camp

In the morning, after breakfast and with a packed picnic lunch, we will continue our trek to Shira One Camp. Today’s hike will be longer, offering stunning views of both Shira and Kibo Peaks. We will first walk for about 2 hours through the rainforest before leaving it behind to enter the heather and moorland zone as we make our way to the camp. The total hiking time to Shira One Camp will be approximately 6 hours. Overnight at Shira One Camp, located at an altitude of 3,610 meters.

Day3-Shira 2 camp

In the morning, after breakfast, we will continue our trek to Shira Two Campsite. Today, we will be walking through the heather and moorland zones, which will take approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival at the camp, we will enjoy a hot lunch. After lunch, we will take a one-hour acclimatization walk before returning to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay at an altitude of 3,850 meters.

Day4- Baranco camp

n the morning, after breakfast, we will continue our trek to Baranco Camp. Today, we will walk through the moorland and alpine desert zones, passing Lava Tower Camp at 4,600 meters for acclimatization. We’ll have a picnic lunch at Lava Tower for about 30 minutes before descending to Baranco Camp. The entire walk from Shira Two Camp to Baranco Camp will take approximately 6 hours. You will spend the night at Baranco Camp, located at an altitude of 3,900 meters.

Day5- Karanga camp

In the morning, after breakfast, we will walk to Karanga Camp. Today, you will ascend the Baranco Wall, which involves some climbing. The climb takes about 1 hour, after which we will continue hiking for another 2-3 hours through the heather and alpine desert zones. We will spend the night at Karanga Camp, located at an altitude of 3,995 meters.

Day6- Barafu camp

In the morning, after breakfast, we will begin our hike to Karanga Camp. Today, you will ascend the Baranco Wall, which involves some climbing and takes about 1 hour. Following this, we will continue hiking for another 2-3 hours through the heather and alpine desert zones. We will spend the night at Karanga Camp, situated at an altitude of 3,995 meters.

Day7-Summit Day

At midnight, after tea and cookies, we will start our ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters. The trek will take about 6-7 hours, and we’ll spend around 20 minutes taking photos and celebrating at the summit. We will then descend to Mweka Camp via Barafu Camp, which will take about 3 hours. After relaxing for an hour and enjoying breakfast at Barafu Camp, we will continue down to Mweka Hut Camp, taking approximately 3 hours. Overnight at Mweka camp 3100m

In the morning, after breakfast, we will descend to Mweka Park Gate, which will take approximately 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, we will meet our vehicle for a 2-hour transfer to Arusha City. You will enjoy an overnight stay at Arusha Planet Lodge.
