Our driver will pick you from Dar –es- salaam and drive to Selous Game Reserve (4hrs drive). Arrive at the lodge, check in, have lunch and later head for a boat safari along the Rufiji River. You will see many hippos, crocodiles and more than 350 bird species. These are typical of Miombo woodlands, and the bird life supported by Rufiji swamplands is of particular interest. later evening, You will be dropped at the tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Full day game drive

Nyerere (Selous)

We start a sun rise game drive at 0600hrs with packed breakfast and lunch box till sunset. This reserve is famous for many number of elephants you will encounter, lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras and greater kudus. Our 4x4 vehicles will enable you to take good photographs and also explore different sections of the park. Lunch will be served in the park where you can watch animals. In the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Walk Safari and Au revoir Selous!

After breakfast, you will be head to the entrance gate of the reserve where you will meet an armed ranger (accompanied by our expert guide) and begin a 2-3 hours walking safari. Our walks are slow-paced and tailored to give you the opportunity to learn about the things you missed from a vehicle or boat. You will learn to identify animal tracks and signs of animals, learn about insects, trees and colorful bird life. After the walk, eat lunch and our guide will drive you back to Dar es Salaam.
