Dar-es-Salaam – Mikumi NP
Mikumi
Meet at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 6:00 am, and transfer to Mikumi NP via Morogoro town. When arriving at Mikumi, you will have lunch and proceed with the game drive till sunset. Some of the prominent features to seek after in the game drive include the artificial hippo pools filled with huge groups of hippos. This is an opportunity to explore and see the wildlife in its natural habitat. Other animals you will see are Lions, Wild dogs, Zebras, Giraffes, Impalas, Hyena, Buffalos etc.

Early morning game drive at Mikumi park and enjoy the sunrise while seeing different kind of wildlife. This tour starts very early while animals are still active looking for food and water. Experience the morning life of African wildlife. Continue with game drive till evening, and exit the national park. Lunch will be served inside the park, where you will experience the authenticity of African wildlife while eating your lunch. Later evening, transfer to your lodge for overnight.

Maasai Village Tour - Morogoro
After breakfast, you will visit Masai village for a cultural tour. Here, you will able to experience and see how the Masai live on a day-to-day basis. And you will have an opportunity to learn a few things about their culture and customs. If times allow, you will pass by the local women’s market too. Later on in the afternoon, you will drive to Morogoro town overnight
Simbamwenni Lodge
Hiking in the Uluguru Mountains.
Start hiking to Choma waterfalls, accompanied by a local guard, he will explain everything you need to know e.g. local medicines, plants, birds, culture and history of that place. You will see the Choma Waterfall and arrive at Lupanga Peak which is 2150m above sea level. You will also walk through the villages on a steep dirt trail than it is a true “hike” through treacherous terrain. You will also enjoy the picnic lunch. After the hike, you will begin the journey back to Dar es salaam.
