This tour begins in Nairobi from where you will begin the safari in Samburu in the North. After two days you will spend the night at a lodge on the slopes of the Aberdares Ranges. Next you will depart for the floor of the great Rift-valley to Lake Nakuru National Park for great views of wildlife juxtaposed with the lake. Finally you will head further south west to Masai Mara the crown jewel of Kenya’s Parks for encounters with all the Big Five.

Day 1
Nairobi
Day 1: 2020; Arrival Nairobi & Overnight Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International office and after clearing with customs authorities, you will be transferred by our courtesy vehicles to a city hotel. There are no activities planned for this day to allow you to relax from the jet-lag and prepare for an adventure filled safari. Day 2
Samburu
Day 2: 2020; The Scenic Northern Frontier 0730 hrs; after breakfast you will depart and head northwards towards the expansive wilderness of Samburu. On arrival at 1330 hrs, check in at the Lodge and take lunch with mid-afternoon at leisure. In the afternoon you will proceed for a game drive at the reserve till dusk. Day 3
Samburu
Day 3: 2020; The Land of the Special Five 0700 hrs, breakfast at the lodge after which you will do a morning game drive and return with mid-morning at leisure to enjoy the Lodge facilities and lunch at 1300 hrs. Later at 1530 hrs proceed for a game drive to explore the vast plains and pursue the special five among them; Somali Ostrich, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s Zebra. Day 4
Day 4: 2020; The Scenic Aberdares Ranges 07:00hrs; after breakfast, depart for Aberdares National park arriving in time for lunch at Aberdares Country Club. After lunch, transfer to the Ark Lodge which offers a Tree Hotel Experience. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Modeled after Noah’s Ark, The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you! Day 5
Lake Nakuru
Day 5: 2020; The Land of Flamingos 0700 hrs take breakfast at the lodge and depart for Lake Nakuru arriving at 1300hrs, in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game at Lake Nakuru which is a bird paradise with hundreds of pink flamingoes (depends on water levels) and pelicans, Rhinos, (White and Black), Buffaloes, Lions, the elusive Leopard, the rare bush buck are also present park. Day 6
Lake Nakuru | Masai Mara
Day 6: 2020; The Land of the Big Five At 0700 hrs, breakfast then depart Lake Nakuru and head to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. At 1530 hrs, take an afternoon game drive in the Game Reserve which covers 700 Square miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills. It’s the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during this time frame of your trip. Day 7
Masai Mara
Day 7: 2020; Rolling Plains of the Masai Mara 07:00hrs; breakfast followed by a full day game drive with picnic lunch box that will take you to the Mara River with a possibility to see hippos and crocodiles. In July to October you will be treated to a rare spectacle that is the wildebeest migration. Later at 1730hrs, return to the camp after a successful day spotting wildlife and take a well-deserved meal and later overnight at the camp. Meals & Overnight (FB): Zebra Plains Mara Camp
Day 8
Day 8: 2020; A Magnificent Wilderness 0600 hrs, early morning game drive before breakfast to return at 0900 hrs for breakfast at the camp. Mid-morning at leisure to enjoy the camp facilities or alternatively visit a Masai Boma (village) to experience the rich culture of the guardians of this magnificent wilderness. At 1300 hrs is lunch at the camp followed by afternoon game drive to pursue wildlife in their busiest hour. Later at 1830 hrs return to the camp for dinner and overnight. Day 9
Masai Mara | Nairobi
Day 9: 2020; Departure 0630 hrs, depart for an early morning game drive in Masai Mara and return for breakfast at the camp followed by departure for Nairobi where you will be transferred to the Airport for your homeward journey after a memorable Kenyan Safari. END OF SERVICE
