Day 1: Zanzibar or Dar Es Salaam - Selous Game Reserve: In the morning you will depart Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam on a flight to the Siwandu Airstrip in Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival you will begin your half day game drive. Selous Game Reserve delivers a truly remarkable wilderness experience; giving its visitors the opportunity to view wildlife that have had limited human contact. You will see elephant, lion, wild dog, eland, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, hippo and crocodile. Back to the lodge for hot lunch relax until the late afternoon. You will then venture onto the mighty Lake Manze for a two hour boat safari. You will see antelope make their way to the river to drink, hippos bubbling in the water, crocodiles taking a sunbath and many other animals going about their daily lives. Enjoy an African savannah sunset after dinner and your overnight stay at the Lake Manze Tented Camp.
