Itinerary

Day 1

Mikumi

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park: You will be picked up from your hotel or Airport in Dar es Salaam very early in the morning at 0500am then driving directly to Mikumi in a 4x4 safari Jeep. You will arrive in the park after approximately 4 hours, depending on traffic. You will enjoy ealy hot lunch at Morogoro Town then drive into Mikumi National Park. After lunch you will take off on your first game drive until late in the evening. Thereafter you will drive just a few kilometers from the park gate near the park boundary where you will have dinner and settle in for your overnight stay.

Day 2

Mikumi

Day 2: Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam: After an early breakfast you will take part in a sunrise game drive in Mikumi National Park and later, with picnic lunches to go you will take off for your last exciting game drive until the afternoon. You will have the opportunity to view the unique Mikumi Giraffe that naturalists say seem to be a cross breed between reticulated and Maasai Giraffes. Lion, elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, leopard can be easily spotted in this park. Your game drive will also take you around to the hippo pool to view the hippo. After your picnic lunch you will drive back to Dar es Salaam drop off at your hotel or Airport in Dar es salaam around 0600pm. This is where your safari will end.
