Day 1
DAY 1: ARRIVE AT KIGALI INTERNATION AIRPORT- DRIVE TO MUSANZE On arrival at Kigali international Airport, you will be picked by our Driver Guide and Visit the genocide memorial. For most visitors, a trip to Rwanda is not complete without visiting Kigali Genocide Memorial in Gisozi. It is not only the place where 250, 000 victims of the genocide have their final resting place but also the memorial site documents Rwanda history throughout its turbulent years and other genocides that have happened all over the world in the past. Later, you drive to Musanze check-in to the hotel, after settling everything go for lunch and visit Musanze food market. Later go back to the hotel relax in the afternoon and get ready for gorilla trek. Activity: Kigali Genocide Memorial Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast
Day 2
Volcanoes
DAY 2. MOUNTAIN GORILLA TRECKING After an early breakfast our drive guide will drive you to the Volcanoes National park headquarters get briefing from the park guide. The guide will go with you in the volcanoes forest and start trekking the mountain gorillas. You will be amazed by the behaviours, size of the mountain gorillas and how they communicate. After 2hours experience you will drive back to Musanze town for lunch and later drive to kibuye its 3hrs30 drive from Musanze. Get to kibuye check-in to the hotel afternoon at leisure. Day 3
DAY 3: KIBUYE – NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK (CANOPY WALK) After breakfast you will depart for Nyungwe National park which takes about 2hours’ drive from Kibuye. You will first check-in to the Hotel, have lunch and later in the afternoon go for Nyungwe canopy walk. The canopy walkway provides an exhilarating perspective on the ancient treetops and wildlife. The canopy walk sets 50 meters above the ground with a 150-meter walkway and is the first of its kind in East Africa and third on the continent after South Africa and Ghana. It allows visitors to see the forest from above the trees and be at eye level Driving distance: 2 hours Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast
Day 4
DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING-KIGALI Take an early morning breakfast then drive to the starting point of your chimpanzee trek. Two species of chimpanzee occur in Africa. There is the Bonobo and the Common Chimpanzee Pan troglodytes (often shortened to Chimpanzee, and sometimes referred to as the Robust Chimpanzee). The largest remaining populations occur in central Africa (Gabon, DR Congo and Cameroon). About only 400 individuals, the population in Rwanda is an endangered one. However; it should be mentioned that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day. Nyungwe National Park is the largest block of montane forest in East and Central Africa and it is an incredibly rich area of biodiversity. Later in the afternoon drive back to Kigali if your flight is in the evening your guide will drop you to the airport. Driving distance: 6 hours Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast End of service
