Safari summary
This 7-day Machame route on Kilimanjaro is the most popular, scenic, and best route for climbing the highest and single free-standing mountain in the World, with 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level. It is known for its diverse landscapes, stunning scenery, and highest success rates.
On the 7-day Machame route, the trek from Barranco to Barafu is broken up into two days, allowing for a short day just prior to the summit attempt. This is important because summit day begins very early, around midnight, so climbers are sleep-deprived going into the toughest day on the mountain. By having a short day beforehand, climbers can be better rested.
The best prices range from $1400 to $3500 per climber for the maximum and most successful summit of Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters, depending on accommodation before and after the climb, transportation, meals, and parking fees.
The success rate of the 7-day Machame route on Mount Kilimanjaro is 85-90%. This success rate can vary depending on several factors, including the physical fitness and acclimatization of the climbers, weather conditions, and the overall preparedness of the trekking group.
