Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1   Pick up in the morning. We are leaving Windhoek, on route south to Sossusvlei via scenic Spreetshoogte Pass – one of the most spectacular places of Namibia. Stop-over for lunch in the Namib Desert. On the way to our campground we are going for a visit to the Sesriem Canyon – a fascinating, rock formation. Arrival at the campground, setting up the tents and preparing appetizing dinner “in the open air” and near the nature!   Accommodation: for 2 nights at the lodge. Distance: 350km on gravel road. Duration: 5 hours with stop-overs and lunch break. Meals: lunch and dinner.  

Day 2

Day 2   Early morning before sunrise, trip through the Sesriem Gate to Sossusvlei – place of the highest dunes of the World, which was recently inscribed on the UNESCO Wold Heritage list. Climbing picturesque Dune 45 experiencing beauty and vastness of fascinating orange-coloured landscape. After the climb, we are on the off-road 4×4 trail to visit surreal Dead Vlei, a place of vast desert pan and dried-up, ancient acacias standing silent in the impressive landscape. In the afternoon time to rest and relax in the camp .   Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Distance: 150 km on gravel, tar and sand roads.  

Day 3

Namib-Naukluft

Day 3   Today’s adventure starts after breakfast, as we travel through the Namib-Naukluft Park, admiring dried up Kuiseb River bed, holding back the mighty sandy dunes of the desert, seemingly stopped, as by the giant, invisible hand. In the evening, arriving at the coastaltown-oasis Swakopmund. Magnificent landscape of the Namib reaching as far as eye can see. Wildlife and grazing antelopes:  oryx and springbuck, mountain zebras, giraffes and World’s biggest birds that don’t fly – ostriches. On route, we are celebrating crossing of the Tropic of Capricorn(famous geographical line).   Accommodation: for 2 nights at guest house/lodge in Swakopmund. Distance: 300km (gravel road). Duration: 5 hours with stop-overs and lunch break. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.  

Day 4

Day 4     Coastal adventure invites you to the „lunar landscape” for a discovery of the botanic attraction, Welwitchia Mirabilis, called a „living fossil”, one of the oldest and most original, living plants on the Earth, remembering the times of Christ! We will also visit to the Walvis Bay salt pans.   Optional attractions, not included in the tour’s price:   Thrilling Quad Bike ride into the dunes and sandy, rolling hills of the Namib.   Early morning Yacht Cruise to the flamingos and fur seal colonies.   Town tour at Swakopmund – visit to the Crystal Gallery and local craft market.   Meals: breakfast, lunch. Dinner on your own account. Distance: 150km on gravel and tar roads.  

Day 5

Etosha

Day 5 & 6   Today we bid „bye, bye” to the coastal town of Swakopmund, on our way to Etosha National Park – treasure of Namibia, considered to be one of the most beautiful and attractive game parks of Africa! We are welcomed by wild animals and white sand of the plains, while searching for the king of the savannah – the lion. During the afternoon’s game ride we are admiring variety of magnificent game: antelopes, giraffes, zebras as well as herds of African elephantsroaming through the bush.   In the evening, relaxing dinner served in the thrilling atmosphere of the wild. At the waterhole, thirsty animals gather for the drink of water, while you are invited to watch the ever-changing theatre of nature till late!   We will spend next two days on trails of Etosha, searching for wild animals of the savannah.   Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Accommodation: for 2 nights at the one of the three-star camps of Etosha or at the safari lodge near Etosha park. Distance: 300 km (gravel routes). Duration: 4hrs.  

Day 7

Etosha

Day 7   After breakfast we bid “Bye, bye!” to beautiful Etosha and travel south to Windhoek, capital of Namibia. There is time to do last shopping for gifts, souvenirs and curios at the local craft market, and enough time to take the last photos of beautiful Africa.   Meals: breakfast at one of the Etosha’s camps. Distance: around 450 km (tarred roads).
