Nairobi | Tsavo

Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park Our driver will pick you up in Nairobi from the airport or the hotel in the early morning and then transfer you to Tsavo East National Park. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. This lodge is set on a plateau of open grassland with giant baobab trees, giving you the true wilderness experience. Late in the afternoon you will head out on a game drive for a visit to the Lugards Falls and Mudanda Rock. Tsavo

Day 3: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park After breakfast you will leave for Tsavo West. During the drive you will pass through mostly wilderness and the occasional laval flow. You’ll be staying at Ngulia lodge, which is situated overlooking its own water hole with daily visits from elephants and other plains mammals. You will arrive in time for lunch and then be taken on a late afternoon game drive with a visit to the Mzima Springs, where you may see hippos, Nile crocodiles and many different bird species. Return to lodge for dinner and spend the remainder of the evening relaxing. Amboseli

Day 5: Amboseli – Aberdare National Park Today we leave Amboseli for Aberdare National Park by way of Nairobi, where you will stop and collect lunch boxes. Upon arrival you will check-in at Aberdare Country Club, where all your heavy luggage will be left as only an overnight bag is allowed at the Ark. From here you will be transferred to the Ark by one of the lodge vehicles. Enjoy game viewing at the Ark from a deck overlooking the floodlit waterholes where wildlife and birds regularly visit. Over 40 species of wildlife inhabit the Aberdares mountain ranges, hiding in the heavily forested slopes and in the upper moorlands. Aberdares National Park is noted as a rhino sanctuary, but keep an eye out for the elusive rare bongo as well, which is best spotted in the upper bamboo zone and hypericum scrub. Day 7: Meru National Park Today you will rise with the sun for an early morning game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast and then spend the rest of the morning at your leisure enjoying the camp facilities as you wait for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will depart on an evening game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp. Day 9: Ol Pejeta – Nairobi Check-out after an early breakfast and then enjoy one last game drive before departing for Nairobi. You will arrive around lunch time, at which point you can opt to have lunch (cost not included) at the restaurant of your choice. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
