Safari summary

Our 4 Day Budget Safari is for guests who are not wanting the frills and fancies of luxury accommodation or bathrooms en-suite but are housed in twin, triple or even 5 bedded units for families without bathrooms en-suite or air-conditioning and guests share a communal bathroom facility which has showers, toilets and baths, for men and women separately.

Guests do not share accommodation with other guests and all units are stand alone. Bedding and Towels are provided as well as Bath Soap.

These units are either brick bungalows within the camp of Pretoriuskop or Safari Tents within the camp of Skukuza but all are dependent on availability at the time of booking. There are no mosquito nets provided in these units but there are screening on all doors and windows.

Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg - Kruger Park

You will depart from OR Tambo shuttle bus terminal and be transferred to Nelspruit to meet up with your guide. Depart for your first game drive returning at gate closing. Dinner own account and can be purchased at the camps restaurant or shop depending on your preference.

Pretoriuskop Camp Kruger National Park

Day 2: Kruger Park

Kruger

The day starts early in the Kruger National Park with gates opening early depending on the time of the year. It is always good to be out and about as early as possible to still find the cats on the prowl before the heat of the day. Breakfast is for your own account and is had at either your camp where you are staying or at one of the many picnic areas found in the park. After breakfast, we make our way back to camp. We depart once again three hours before sunset for our afternoon safari.

Day 3: Kruger Park

Kruger

This morning departs early from camp for your game drive, watching the sunrise over the African plains in search of the Big 5. Breakfast is once again either at camp or other site. We return to camp mid-day for a siesta or time to relax at the swimming pool. We will depart once again for an afternoon game drive till the sun sets when we return to camp for dinner.

Day 4: Kruger Park - Johannesburg

Kruger

The last morning's open game viewing drive departs at gate opening time, enjoying breakfast in the outdoors, before departing and making our way slowly out of the park. We head back to Johannesburg arriving at 18h00pm at OR Tambo Bus Teminal
