Known to the Maasai as the “Mountain of God”, Ol Doinyo Lengai is one of the most unique active volcanoes in the world. Our trek ends up on the shores of the beautiful Lake Natron, an alkaline lake which serves as the breeding ground for the Lesser Flamingo.

Day 1

Ngorongoro Crater

Drive from your Lodge accommodation to Ngorongoro Crater After breakfast you will depart early to Ngorongoro conservation area with your lunch boxes passing through Maasai plains to Ngorongoro area, game drive at Ngorongoro crater. Today you’ll descend the 600m high walls to the floor of the crater and get up close with one of Africa's seven natural wonders! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa.

Ngorongoro Crater

Nainokanoka Campsite to Empakai Crater rim After an early breakfast at the campsite, you will be drive and later being dropped at some point to start a walk descending to Empakai crater 23km northeast of Olmoti Crater with an armed park ranger where you will enjoy what other many travelers consider it to be its match in beauty.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater

Trekking from Empakai crater rim – Acacia Camping area After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and all stuffs carried on Donkey back to Acacia camping area which this will be a trekking moment and there will be no vehicle around, only donkeys will be used to carry luggage to another point, enjoy the beautiful scenes of Ngorongoro highlands passing through beautiful landscapes of the area, if lucky you can sight buffaloes and other common animal herds of Ngorongoro.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

Trekking from Acacia to Lake Natron Afterbreakfast start trekking passing through land escarpments to Lake Natron where you will visit Lake Natron to see the flamingos for which Lake Natron is famous. If you wish, you can walk at the lake shore in salty water. Visit Engaresero waterfalls or hike to EngareSero rift wall for an exceptional view and experience. You will also have an opportunity to take a plunge into the lake if weather permits it.

Day 5

Red water @ climb Oldonyo Lengai After breakfast you will driven back to the lake and have a visit to other point of the lake where you will enjoy the red lake water before going back to the Campsite for hot lunch and day rest getting ready for an out again for a climb of Oldonyo Lengai, an active volcano, A strenuous climb that usually departs at midnight and takes you to the ash cone for a magnificent view before descending back to the base and transferring back to the camp for a rest.

Day 6

Day 6: Lake Natron to Airport After a tiring adventure and all the trekking and climb activates from day one to a finish day, today will be the day you just got back from a climb of Oldonyo lengai. After shower and taking your brunch, you will driven to Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport to head back home or proceed on other schedules. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
