Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi
Day 1 Nairobi – Shaba The journey begins as we depart by road towards the Northern Frontier, home to the “Unique Five” animals prevalent in this region such as Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in. After a short relaxing break we begin our safari experience in Shaba. Dinner and overnight in Shaba - FB
Day 2
Buffalo Springs
Day 2 Shaba Full day in Shaba with morning and mid afternoon games drives at Shaba National Reserve with a possibility to crossing over to Buffalo Springs Reserve for further exploration. Dinner and overnight in Shaba - FB
Day 3
Day 3 Shaba/Ol Pejeta After breakfast check out and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This 90,000 acre conservancy is located in Laikipia district and is home to the largest concentration of the black Rhino as well as the only place in Kenya where the endangered Chimpanzees can be seen. While at the conservancy you will have a guided bushwalk at 1500hrs to explore Ol Pejeta's vast Savannah on foot and learn more about animal behavior, how to identify animal tracks/droppings and discover the diverse flora and fauna from the well-trained guides. Day 4
Day 4 Ol Pejeta/Aberdare After breakfast check out and drive to The Ark which is set in the heart of Aberdare National Park. The Ark overlooks a floodlit watering hole which attracts a host of wildlife. The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. Day 5
Lake Nakuru
Day 5 Nyeri/Nakuru Check-out and drive southerly towards Nakuru which is Kenya’s fourth largest town. On location is Lake Nakuru an alkaline lake that attracts millions of colourful flamingoes – a haven for bird lovers. Take an afternoon game drive of Lake Nakuru National Park. Day 6
Day 6 Nakuru – Maasai Mara A day to head South West towards Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most famous and world renowned park, home of the annual wildebeest migration. After lunch take the first afternoon game drive. Key attractions: BIG Five and scores of other wild animals. Enjoy this atmosphere of unusual serenity and good view of animals, an ideal opportunity for photography. Dinner and overnight at Maasai Mara - FB
Day 7
Masai Mara
Day 7 Maasai Mara Full day at Maasai Mara. Any visit to the Mara is always a pleasant experience and we hope it will be kind to offer us its’ all. We’ll take a full day game drive and with the aim of visiting the hippo and crocodile filled Mara River usually the amphitheatre of the annual wildebeest migration. You may opt to visit the Maasai Cultural Village where you get to interact with the peoples and culture of the Maasai in song, dance and dress Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara - FB
Day 8
Nairobi
Day 8 Maasai Mara – Nairobi Sadly this marks the end of our safari. After breakfast we check-out and drive back to back to Nairobi with a mini-game drive en-route. We finally recommend an early dinner at the carnivore restaurant famous for serving both domestic and game meat roasted on large skewers over a huge charcoal pit then brought to your table and carved onto sizzling cast iron plates.
