Arusha | Kruger

Day 1 Arusha – Arusha National Park In the morning, we will collect you from your hotel in Arusha and take you to the Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie “Hatari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne. Your day trip will include a visit to the Ngurdo Crater. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species. At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting for you to accompany you on your slowly walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. After Lunch we will take you to Enjoy a peaceful and scenic canoeing safari following the shorelines of small Momella Lake. On this 2- 2.5 hours canoe safari you can view buffaloes, bushbuck, giraffes, hippos and many water birds living in and close to the water.Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed. During the afternoon, you will continue your tour in the safari vehicle through the Arusha National Park. Serengeti | Tarangire

Day 3: HalfDay at Tarangire National Park You will have a halfday game drive at Tarangire National Park, then after Lunch at the Lodge you will start a drive from Tarangire to Central Serengeti National Park, you will travel via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti and at late evening you will reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park. This park is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes – short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. The Serengeti is famous for the yearly migration when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water. Ngorongoro Crater | Serengeti

Day 6: Serengeti National park – Ngorongoro Highlands After breakfast, continue to the Serengeti National Park game drive. A brief visit en route to Olduvai Gorge which is often referred to as ‘The Cradle of Mankind’ and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Lunch at your accommodation. During Afternoon you will have nature hike around Ngorongoro Crater rim and highlands. Dinner and overnight as the Luxury accommodation we suggested for you on the Crater rim.

Lake Manyara

Day 8:  Lake Manyara National Park: In the morning you will travel from Karatu/Mto WA Mbu village to the small Lake Manyara National Park. Not only is this park a bird-lover’s paradise with over 400 species of birds, but is also home to primates such as baboons and blue monkeys and many herbivores, such as elephants, hippos, wildebeest, impalas and giraffes. You might even catch a glimpse of the more carnivorous inhabitants, such as leopards and lions. Through the pop-up roof of your safari vehicle you will see the landscape changing from lush acacia woodlands to grassy floodplains, where colonies of flamingos and other water fowls can be found on the alkaline Lake Manyara’s shoreline. After extensive game viewing you will leave the park and head to your accommodation choice around Ngorongoro Highlands. Enjoy a beautiful sunset and relax in the cosy lounge area or mingle around the crackling campfire. Luxury accommodation we suggested for you just outside the Lake Manyara National park.

Kilimanjaro | Serengeti

Day 10:  Cultural tour and Depurture:  In the morning, we will collect you from your hotel in Moshi and take you to Marangu, which lies in the fertile hills of Kilimanjaro where a village guide will be waiting for you and bring you first of all to the Chagga Live Museum, where you will get a deep insight in the traditional lifestyle of this agricultural society and also the family history. He will then lead you through the coffee and banana plantations to a spectacular waterfall. On the way, he will tell you and point out the fauna and flora of the region. At the waterfall, you will have lunch and if you fancy you may take a plunge in the refreshing waters of the waterfall. In the afternoon, you will be driven to the village of Mamba. This small village is famous for its caves, which were once used to hide the women and children for weeks during the Chagga – Masai wars. At Mamba, you will also visit a local blacksmith who still forges spearheads in the traditional manner.In the afternoon, we will drive you from Marangu village direct to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
