Day 1

Day 1 Upon arrival we are received by a Trails of East Africa representative and then transferred to our hotel for overnight stay.  Accommodation: Cassia Lodge.  Meal Plan: D B

Day 2

Day 2: CITY TOUR  After breakfast we check out and drive to Kampala for a city tour. Highlights for the day include the Royal Kasubi Tombs which is a historical site in the Buganda Kingdom and also a recognized UNESCO World Heritage site, The Uganda Museum and the Namugongo Marty’s shrine. We take lunch and then head East wards to Jinja. Check in at The Haven.  Accommodation: The Haven  Meal Plan: D B

Day 3

DAY 3: TOUR SOURCE OF THE NILE  TAfter an early breakfast we check out and head to the Source of the Nile. Uganda hosts the source of the mighty River Nile and this morning we will have the chance to visit the place in Jinja. We take memorable photos here and continue on our journey to Mbale, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. Enjoy lodge amenities and surroundings this evening. Dinner and overnight at Sipi River Lodge *We have an optional half day white water rafting on River Nile with lunch in Jinja then proceed to Sipi Lodge in the afternoon.  Accommodation: Sipi Lodge  Meal Plan: B L D

Day 4

DAY 4: SIPI FULL DAY (HIKES AND WALKS) After breakfast, we take on the Waterfall Hike to the base of Sipi Falls. Winding trails lead hikers through local communities to roaring waterfalls, lush farms and forests, and magnificent views of the Karamoja plains. Sipi falls is a hiker’s paradise waiting to be explored. We return for lunch and in the afternoon we go for a coffee tour. It’s worth tracing the story ‘coffee’ from the seed to the cup. We meet local farmers and tour their plantations and learn about the lifecycle of the crop and their role in the process, see the selected green beans before shipment and also learn about the art of roasting. We will also get a chance of enjoying a cup of coffee whose benefits’ goes back to community for development. We return to Lodge for overnight.  Accommodation: Sipi River Lodge  Meal Plan: B L D

Day 5

DAY 5: FROM SIPI, DRIVE TO MOROTO – 4 hours’ drive After breakfast we drive to Moroto arriving in time for lunch at Mt. Moroto Hotel. In the afternoon, we hike Mt. Moroto. This Mountain lies in the extreme east of Uganda and is the most accessible place to see some of the dry north eastern ‘special’. Although a long hike is required to reach higher areas, excellent arid thorn savanna and rocky slopes are accessible from the town at the foot of the mountain. Wind it up with a Sundowner. Overnight at Moroto Hotel.  Accommodation: Mt Moroto Hotel 

Day 6

DAY 6: DRIVE TO KOTIDO AAfter an early breakfast we drive to Kotido and arrive in time for lunch and a visit to the Karamonjog Village. Later in the afternoon we leave for Kidepo National Park and check in at Savanah Lodge.  Accommodation:  Meal Plan: B L D

Day 7

DAY 7: FULL DAY IN KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK After breakfast we embark on game drives in the park. Kidepo National Park is famous for its attractions such as the Narus Valley, which is a rising and falling grassland plain surrounded by faraway mountains. This valley provides permanent water hence most of the year wildlife gather here to cool off. There is the Kanangorok Hot Springs which we may visit if time allows us and Mt. Morungule for hikers. Abundant wildlife to spot this day include but not limited to Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Leopards, Cheetahs and Buffaloes. The Narus dam together with the water hole close to the Tourism Centre are ideal observation places for game, particularly throughout the dry season.Overnight Savanah Lodge.  Accommodation: Savannah Lodge  Meal Plan: B L D

Day 8

DAY 8: TRANSFER FROM KIDEPO TO GULU (266kms –less than 3 hrs drive) After breakfast we check out of the Lodge and do a game drive on our way out as we drive to Gulu, arriving in time for lunch at Gulu Churchill Courts Hotel. In the afternoon we take a tour around Gulu town with highlight of visiting Fort Patiko – which is a beauty born out of Slave Trade. From here we get to learn about the history of slave trade in Africa by the Arabs and also about Sir. Samuel Baker from the British government. Day 9

Murchison Falls

DAY 9: TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS  We have an early breakfast then check out and transfer to Murchison Falls National park. Arrive in time for lunch at Pakuba Lodge. Afternoon game drive in the park. Overnight Pakuba Safari Lodge.  Accommodation: Pakuba Safari Lodge  Meal Plan: B L D

Day 10

DAY 10: FULL DAY MURCHISON FALLS  After breakfast we head on for a game drive on the Northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing lots of wildlife in search for food. We have a chance to spot giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest and different species of birds. We return to the lodge to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities till lunch. Afternoon highlight of the day is a Boat Cruise on the Nile to the bottom of the falls. This offers close views of the Nile Crocodiles, Hippos and so many birds. Great views of other wildlife over land can be rewarding as well. We get off the boat at the bottom of the falls and hike up to the top which is another chance to view the top of the falls. Day 11

DAY 11: DRIVE TO ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY  Today we have an early breakfast then check out and crown the spotting of the Big 5 by stopping over the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Game drive as we drive out of the park, pass through Masindi and arrive in time for lunch at Amuka Lodge. Afternoon Rhino Tracking experience then later retire to the lodge for overnight. Day 12

DAY 12: DRIVE TO KAMPALA  Today we have relaxed breakfast then check out and return to Kampala with a lunch stop en-route. We arrive in the evening and chill at the lodge. Overnight at Cassia Lodge.  Accommodation: Cassia Lodge  Meal Plan: D B

Day 13

DAY 13: DEPARTURE FLIGHT  After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for our departure flight.
