This safari is a once in a life opportunity that will usher you to Uganda’s smallest National Park (Lake Mburo) for its spectacular Wild Game and bird species. From here you’ll transfer to Bwindi were you will come close or face to face with the Mighty Mountain Gorilla (Uganda has recorded a steady increase of the gorillas thus housing half of the world’s population). From here you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is famously known as the Lake of very many Little Birds meaning it is the best Birder’s choice, it is also believed that it is the only Lake without Bilharzia, however much you can try it out to find out by diving in for a swim. After here, you will transfer back to Kampala and take you flight back home carrying memories.

Day 1: Arrival (Airport transfer), Check in at accommodation for overnight in Kampala
Day2: Transfer from Kampala-Lake Mburo National Park via the Equator at Kayabwe.
Day3: Early Morning Game Drive and after noon Boat/ Launch Cruise.
Day4: Earl Morning Transfer from Lake Mburo National Park – Bwindi National Park
Day 5: Early morning tracking of Mountain Gorillas and Batwa Forest Experience (Bwindi)
Day6: Early Morning Transfer from Bwindi-Lake Bunyonyi. Afternoon community/ Nature walk.
Day7: Early morning Canoe/ Boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi and Afternoon Transfer back to Kampala.

Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Arrival Upon your arrival at the airport, a Driver from Pearl Land Safaris will be readily waiting to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala for Overnight. You will receive a briefing from your guide to get ready for your trip the next day! 

Day 2

Lake Mburo

Day 2: Kampala-Lake Mburo National Park You will embark on your journey very early in the morning to L. Mburo National park. This is a unique park of all the others,it is so far the smallest National Park and also harbours five lakes within itself and this attract hippos, crocodiles and a variety of waterbirds, while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the sitatunga antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus gonalek. On your way to Lake Mburo National Park, you will have a chance to pass via the Equator were the world is divided into 2 parts, the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Day 3

Lake Mburo

Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park     We have the choice of game viewing on horseback, on foot or by jeep. Game Viewing -the major tourist activity in this Park, it is famous for its richness in biodiversity. It has about 68 different species of mammals. The common ones are Zebra, Impala, Buffalo, Topi, and Eland as herbivores not to leave out the rare slightly of Roan antelope and leopard, Hyenas and jackals as predictor.

Day 4

Bwindi Impenetrable | Lake Mburo

Day 4: Lake Mburo National Park – Bwindi National Park Early morning game drive through Lake Mburo National Park as you exit it to embark on another long drive to the primordial and ecologically rich Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; Through Rukungiri, Kihihi, and Butogota, you will drive to Bwindi - Buhoma in the thick, impenetrable Bwindi Forest national park. You will arrive late in the afternoon. Relax at the lodge [Approximate driving time: 5 hours]

Day 5

Day 5: Tracking Mountain Gorillas Go for Gorilla tracking accompanied by a guide and porters to carry your luggage. The rainforest is stunning as it offers a striking, heavily forested and dense landscape habitat for numerous primates. Animals in this forest include the endangered mountain gorilla, the rare golden monkey, elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks, leopards, giant forest hogs as well as other animals. This park is best known for the mesmerizing gorillas, where the time taken and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The Gorilla tracking experience can be a challenging one due to the terrain, none the less, an awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience.

Day 6

Day 6: Bwindi-Lake Bunyonyi Drive to Kabale and visit Lake Bunyonyi one of the most conspicuous lakes in Uganda, have a boat ride and also have a chance to visit the fishing communities.

Day 7

Day 7: Departure On this day you will set off early for Kampala and arrive in the late afternoon to catch your international flight back home.
