Day 1

Arusha | Kilimanjaro

Day 1 Kilimanjaro – Arusha Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport then transfer to Arusha Early evening pre-climb briefing on the trek. Dinner and overnight at Impala Hotel (HB)

Day 2

Arusha

Day 2 Arusha – Miriakamba Breakfast then drive to the Arusha National Park gate at Momella. Trekking through the lush forest, crossing the Ngare Nanyuki River to reach Miriakamba Hut at 8337ft / 2541m (4 to 5 hours). Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut

Day 3

Day 3 Saddle Hut Early breakfast. Continue to ascend steeply through the pleasant forest glades and giant heather to reach Saddle Hut at 11,713ft / 3570m. This the trek will take about 2 to 3 hours. From here it is possible to take a side trek to reach the summit of Little Meru 12,450ft / 3794m and return to Saddle Hut in about 2 hours Meals and overnight at Saddle Hut

Day 4

Arusha | Kilimanjaro

Day 4 Descent to the gate An early start to reach Rhino Point and then on to the summit at 14,981ft / 4566m to see the sunrise behind Mount Kilimanjaro, before descending to Momella gate Met at the gate the transfer to Arusha Town Dinner and overnight at Impala Hotel (HB)
