Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Old Moses

Day 2: Nanyuki - Sirimon -Judmier Camp (Old Moses Camp ) Drive to Nanyuki to proceed to Sirimon Gate. The trekking will take about 1 hour. From the gate, you will follow the track as it winds uphill through the forest (which becomes a heathland) after about 3 hours. About 3.5 hours from the gate, you will continue the trekking until Judmier Camp and stay overnight there. Trekking time: 3 - 4 hours Distance: 9 kilometers Elevation: 860-meter ascent

Day 2: Judmier Camp -Shipton Camp

Day 2: Judmier Camp -Shipton Camp After breakfast, you will follow the track uphill to Old Moses Camp, the track will cross Ontulili River. You will go right contouring through the moorland, cross Liki North, and continue uphill to Mackinder Valley from where panoramic views towards the main peaks can be seen. You will enjoy dinner and stay overnight at Shipton Camp. Trekking time: 6 - 7 hours Distance: 14 kilometers Elevation: 900-meter ascent

Day 3

Day 3: Shipton Camp You will spend the day by acclimatizing. You will walk to Kami Hut and Hausberg Lakes (Hausberg Tarn and Nanyuki Tarn). After that, you will walk back to Shipton Camp to have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4

Mount Kenya

Day 4: Shiptons -Point Lenana -Meru Mount Kenya Bandas (Chogoria Gate) You will leave at 03:00 to climb up through Hall Tarns. You will arrive in Point Lenana at 06:30 as the trekking will take about 3 hours. After the sunrise, you will descend down to Mintos Hut to have breakfast. After that, you will continue to Meru Mount Kenya Bandas to have dinner and stay overnight. Trekking time: 6 hours Distance: 14 kilometers Elevation: 785-meter ascent

Day 5

Day 5: Chogoria Bandas - Chogoria - Nairobi You will descend for 2 hours, 15 kilometers to forest clearance, to catch a 4x4 transfer vehicle to Chogoria Village where you will connect with your transfer vehicle back to Nairobi drop of at the Airport/hotel.
