Day 1
Nairobi
Day 1 (Tuesday): Nairobi You will be met on arrival and transferred to Nairobi Safari Club for overnight. (B).
Day 2
Arusha | Lake Manyara | Nairobi
Day 2 (Wednesday): Nairobi – Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park Take the morning shuttle across the Kenya/Tanzania border to Arusha for lunch. After lunch drive to Lake Manyara, a soda lake lying in the Rift Valley. Dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Tented Lodge. (L,D,B).
Day 3
Lake Manyara | Serengeti
Day 3 (Thursday): Lake Manyara – Serengeti Breakfast in the lodge then enjoy a morning game drive in the park, home of the tree-climbing lions and a large variety of wildlife including giraffe, zebra, elephant, gazelle, bushbuck, hippopotami, monkeys and about 400 species of birds. Lunch in the lodge then check out and drive to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a brief game drive en-route to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge. (L,D,B).
Day 4
Serengeti
Day 4 (Friday): Serengeti National Park Today you will spend the day in Serengeti. To maximize game viewing you will carry a picnic lunch with you and spend the full day in the park. This enormous park supports every variety of African animal imaginable - from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the herbivores they prey on. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge. (L,D,B).
Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater | Serengeti
Day 5 (Saturday): Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Breakfast at your lodge. Check out and set out for a morning game drive en-route to the gate. Picnic lunches will be provided as you drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way you will visit Oldupai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Check in to your lodge thereafter. The crater covers over 300 square kilometers of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, prides of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House. (L,D,B).
Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
Day 6 (Sunday): Ngorongoro Crater Today you will descend some 600 meters to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater for a day tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Picnic lunches will be served at a scenic spot in the crater. Later in the afternoon drive back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House. (L,D,B).
Day 7
Amboseli | Arusha
Day 7 (Monday): Ngorongoro – Amboseli National Park After breakfast drive to Arusha with picnic lunches and continue to the Kenya/Tanzania border at Namanga. Clear the border formalities and drive onto Amboseli National Park. Check in to the park for a game drive en-route to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge. (L,D,B).
Day 8
Amboseli | Kilimanjaro
Day 8 (Tuesday): Amboseli National Park Magnificent views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro greet visitors from anywhere in this park. The park takes its name from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”. The largest elephants in Africa live here and on some mornings over 600 have been counted in the swamps. This day’s game drives offer the chance to track lion, cheetah, wildebeest and the rare black rhino. All 3 meals and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge. (L,D,B).
Day 9
Amboseli | Lake Nakuru
Day 9 (Wednesday): Amboseli - Lake Nakuru National Park Depart after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Picnic lunch will be provided on the way. Check in to the park in time for your evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar. (L,D,B).
Day 10
Lake Nakuru
Day 10 (Thursday): Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara Game Reserve Drive via Narok to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Lunch and afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. (L,D,B).
Day 11
Day 11 (Friday): Maasai Mara Game Reserve Spend the day in Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is home to some 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five. Other game includes hippopotami, cheetah, Grant’s gazelle, impala, topi, Coke’s hartebeest, giraffe, Roan antelope and wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. (L,D,B).
Day 12
Nairobi
Day 12 (Saturday): Depart Breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving at around midday. A transfer is included to your Nairobi hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
