Itinerary
Day 4
Serengeti
Day 4After breakfast, we will leave for Central Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch and game drive along the way. Serengeti, among other incredible wildlife and stunning views is famed for the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundred thousands of zebras, a frenzied bout of territorial conquests and mating happening from July-October. Witness an actual survival of the fittest as these animals plunge through crocodile-infested waters. The wildebeest produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again. Accommodation: Serengeti Serena Lodge
Day 5
Masai Mara | Serengeti
Day 5After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti north viewing the great migration at Mara area. The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please take note that finding a crossing is very challenging and is sometimes a matter of luck. There are instances where herds can be seen next to the river but then only decide to cross a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains, similar to Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve. Accommodation: Chaka Tented Camp
Day 6
Day 6 Yet another day of game drive following the trail of the Great Migration. Accommodation: Chaka Tented Camp
Day 7
Arusha
Day 7After breakfast, we will drive en route to Kogatende Airstrip where you will catch your flight to Arusha and arrive for lunch. Afterwards, you will be driven to the airport for your flight back home.
