Big five family safari

Day 1-4 Touch down at Cape Town International Airport and collect your rental vehicle. Once you have your keys, head into the city to the popular Waterfront area. Your accommodation for the next 3 nights will be a 2-bedroom, self-catering apartment in the Waterfront Village, overlooking the canals and the harbour. Ideally located, you will be within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront, boasting over 200 shops, an array of restaurants and fun activities for the little ones like the Two Oceans Aquarium. Spend your time exploring the buzzing city and its beautiful surroundings. Choose to see the city from above on a cable car trip up to the peak of Table Mountain, hike up to the summit of Lion’s Head, visit one of the many incredible beaches or venture further afield on a day tour to see the penguins at Boulders Beach.

Kruger

Day 7-9 After a final hearty breakfast in the Cape Winelands, grab your keys and drive to Cape Town International Airport. Before check-in, drop off your rental and board your 2 and a half hour flight north to Hoedspruit. On arrival, your driver will be ready to accompany you to your lodge in the Greater Kruger Area. Your accomodation for the next 3 nights will be the Klaserie River Safari Lodge.Located on the banks of the Klaserie River, the lodge’s 11 chalets boast uninterrupted views of the river frequented by wildlife. The lodge features two interleading rooms, a swimming pool and boma area making it ideal for families on safari. Spend your days on expertly guided bush walks in the lodge’s private concession as well as afternoon game drives to a nearby Big 5 reserve. Your guide will stop enroute for you to enjoy the sun set over the Thornybush Game Reserve. Also included, is a full day trip to the Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s premier wildlife-watching destinations. Enjoy cultural visits to nearby villages or visit the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Center to learn about the conversation efforts in the region.

Day 10 marks the end of your South Africa Family Safari. After your morning activity and breakfast, a driver will meet you and accompany you back to the Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to OR Tambo International Airport and onward journey home.
