Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1 Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport your driver will collect you in a 7 seater vehicle and transfer you to the centrally located suburb of Green Point, which is within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront, to Rockwell Hotel and you will stay in a 2 bedroom apartment for maximum 4 persons which also has a kitchen but you will receive breakfast at the hotel. We have negotiated for your family: Milkshake Vouchers: 1 Small Complimentary Milkshake per child per stay – to be redeemed upon arrival or the duration of their stay, early check in: Subject to availability and with prior arrangement, Colouring Book / Sticker & Activity Book with Crayons: 1 item per child issued upon arrival, cot available in the Apartment on a complimentary basis, subject to availability and movie night with 1 Movie Night per stay offering a selection of DVDs with complimentary popcorn for the children.

Day 2

Day 2-4 Next day you will be collected by your driver and you will have a half day private tour for families which includes a visit to see squirrels at the Company Gardens, boat cruise along the Canal at the Waterfront, visit to the famous Two Oceans Aquarium where you can spend 2 to 3 hours and then you will have lunch at the children friendly Cafe Paradiso (lunch for own account). After lunch you will be transferred back to your hotel. The following day will include a City Sightseeing red double decker hop on hop off bus ticket for you to enjoy with your family, the package includes 4 x one day tickets so you can view Cape Town at your leisure. We can also arrange for professional child minding service while in Cape Town at an additional charge in the evening.

Day 5

Day 5-6 After breakfast and check out your driver will collect you in a 7-seater vehicle and transfer you 1 hour by a very scenic drive to the winelands town of Franschhoek, a very historic town in the heart of the winelands surrounded by many wine farms and family friendly activities. You will check into Lérmitage and the accommodation will be a 2-bedroom self-catering Villa but will also include breakfast at the hotel. Situated in the heart of the Franschhoek winelands on the Fransche Hoek Wine an Olive Estate. Babysitting can be arranged at the in your Villa if required as an additional charge. With its breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, quaint cobbled street and indigenous fynbos, you will experience a unique and unforgettable taste of the Franschhoek Country lifestyle. Spend your 2 days strolling the main street in Franschhoek which has many restaurants and shops. We also recommend the Franschhoek tram as well.

Day 7

Day 7-8 After check out you will be transferred to the beach town of Hermanus which is famous for its whales during whale season. We have chosen this property as it was voted the 5th best family hotel in South Africa in 2019 at the Travellers' Choice Awards. It has a barbecue area and a fully equipped full kitchen, including a dishwasher. The property also has baby safety gates, board games and puzzles. Responsible tourism with water saving initiatives. In Hermanus you can view the beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets along the 12 km viewing platform on the legendary cliff path.

Day 8

Day 8 we have included a whale and eco tour boat trip and you will be collected from the hotel for this tour. You can also visit the African penguin & seabird Sanctuary at no extra charge. During whale season (June to Dec) you have the possibility to see Southern Right whales, resident Bryde's whales or Humpback whales, dolphins, seals and penguins.

Day 9

Kruger

Day 9-11 Your driver will collect you after breakfast and transfer you back to Cape Town International Airport for a 2 and a half hour flight to Skukuza inside Kruger National Park for the start of your safari. From Skukuza Airport you will have a transfer through the park to your Safari Lodge, which is a 2 hour transfer. The lodge has exclusive use of a prime bushveld and your stay will be fun, exciting and most of all relaxing. There is numerous activities for children which will be both educational and fun. Child minding can be arranged, there is a safari play room, safari beds and cots which are handcrafted in the shape and colours of various animals, bush walks, bush movie nights and a special kid's menu. The rates include 2 game drives in open landrovers and a safari walk for adults.

Day 12

Day 12 After the morning activity and breakfast at the lodge, your transfer will take you back to the Skukuza Airport for your flight to Johannesburg for the end of your journey.
