Day 1:Nairobi - Samburu Game Reserve Depart from Nairobi after breakfast and drive north via Nanyuki and Mt. Kenya to rugged and remote Samburu Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch. At 1600hrs, you will head out on a game drive in the semi-arid park that showcases the unique wildlife that Samburu is home to. In addition to more ‘conventional’ safari animal sightings, you’ll also have the chance to spot the Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, long-necked Gerenuk and Grevy’s Zebra – the famous ‘Special Five’. The park is also home to large herds of elephants, as well as lions, leopards, zebras, and more. Day 3:Samburu Game Reserve - Nairobi Wake up early for a sunrise game drive through the Samburu Game Reserve. The cooler air and low-light are the ideal time to spot hunters such as lions and leopards on the prowl, and the early morning light is also quite spectacular as it sets fire to the landscape. After a late breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi where you’ll be transferred to the JKIA airport or your hotel.
