Day 1

Bwindi Impenetrable

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Pick up at the hotel after breakfast, and we shall drive from Kigali city towards the North and have a stop at the Uganda – Rwanda boarder for check in, and proceed to the home of the mountains gorillas.

Day 2

Day 2: Undertake gorilla trekking & relax at the lodge in the evening After an early morning breakfast you will be briefed by your ranger / tour guide and after start your gorilla trekking journey, you will enter into the amazing rainforest (gorilla sanctuary) as it offers an exciting, heavily forested and dense landscape interrupted by plenty of animal trails that provide access for tourists tracking these resident animals. Mammals thriving here include majorly the endangered mountain gorillas, elephants, buffaloes, giant forest hogs, the rare golden monkey, black- fronted Duikers, bushbucks, leopards to mention but a few. HOWEVER, The charming mountain gorillas form the highlight of the park, you will continue to the misty Bwindi forest in search of the world’s most sought after and endangered species. The trekking adventure takes you through impressive hikes exploring the attractive forest landscapes characterized by rugged terrain which makes it quite challenging to explore. The time and track taken while looking for these beautiful primates varies according to their movements, “Remember they are also wild animals”. The duration of the activity may vary between 2 – 8 hours inclusive of one (1) hour direct contact with these unfamiliar creatures as they forage, socialize and make their joyous tactics with the frightening eyes of the Silverback. Once tracked, observing, spending time with and photographing these gentle, peaceful and shy apes is a unique, breathtaking, inspiring, and thrilling life time memorable adventure that leaves you desiring to have it again. Retire from this activity and relax at the lodge for dinner and overnight. TIP: OPTIONAL ACTIVITY CAN BE A CULTURAL ENCOUNTER WITH THE LOCAL BATWA PEOPLE IN THE EVENING @ 30USD PP ONLY

Day 3

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali After a warm cup of tea at the hotel, you will set off from this Gorilla land and proceed to Kigali through Ruhengeri to get to Kigali for your international flight or overnight. The drive is quite impressive as you traverse the country side of the “land of a thousand hills”& scenic views scattered with rural homesteads, cattle farms and extensive plantations. The en route small towns bustling with all kinds of local trade and informal businesses will occupy your journey back to Kigali. **End of the Safari** Transport: Your transfers are provided by a vehicle from the lodge. This is a 4wd Land cruiser Terms and conditions Tour packages includes: Transfer from Kigali (Rwanda) to Mutanda Lake resort; Transfer from lodge to gorilla tracking and back; Transfer from lodge back to Kigali (Rwanda); Accommodation at Mutanda Lake resort on Full Board. (2x breakfast, 2x lunch, 2x dinner) Park entrance fees for Bwindi Gorilla permit Uganda (US$ 600). Excludes: International air fares East African visa or entry visas to Uganda and Rwanda; A porter for during the gorilla tracking (someone who carries your daypack); Tips and gratuities to rangers, driver/guide, porter, hotel staff, etc; All expenses of personal nature (e.g. drinks, laundry, optional activities, souvenirs etc.). The bookings with the lodge mentioned in the itinerary depend on availability. Reservations will only be made after your booking. In case the mentioned hotels are not available during the requested period, we will do our utmost to book a hotel in the same class for you (of course we will only do this after consulting you). It is not possible to ‘reserve’ gorilla tracking permits. Therefore we can only buy them after your booking and down-payment.
