Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1-3: Kwando Lagoon Tented Camp, Kwando River Take a light charter flight from Maun to Lagoon which is a tented camp with stunning views and close proximity to all wildlife and overlooks the banks of the Kwando River and this area has a well-earned reputation for big game and large herds of elephant and buffalo. The Lagoon wild dog pack regularly den close to the camp. Activities include walks, game drives, seasonal fishing, and boat cruises. They can operate game drives off-road and at night. You will have a guide and tracker on board for game drives. Another special feature of the camp is the afternoon river cruise on a unique double deck boat. Each tent has a private deck, living area, and bathroom, all with picturesque views over the river.

Day 4

Day 4-5: Kwando Lebala Tented Camp, Kwando River Today you will have a road transfer to your next camp called Lebala which means 'wide open spaces' in the Kwando Reserve's 232 000 hectares of private unfenced wilderness. Lebala sits on the floodplains of the Kwando River and the special ecosystem is home to a wide variety of Africa's plains game such as zebra, wildebeest, impala, giraffe and tsessebe. 2 activities are included daily which is walks and game drives including night drives. Lebala's location away from the dense mopane woodland to the east of the Reserve facilitates the ease of traversing the concession looking for big game.
